Re: Is this Snuffy Smith / Ralph Burch Jr. 1988 Prototype Hyperdrive?
This looks like the car to me and a great find! The RCCA article mentions it getting stepped on by a corner marshall.. do you see any signs of that? Funny you mentioned that. I did notice some body creases and a large one on top of the roof kinda shaped like someone's foot. It's hard to capture wit...

Re: Is this Snuffy Smith / Ralph Burch Jr. 1988 Prototype Hyperdrive?
Wow! Sure looks like the real deal to me...awesome! Seriously nice find there! Steering blocks are white vs. black...but bending kingpins and swapping blocks was common bitd...and they're the same style. Yep - that is the only difference I see as well. You may be right about the front end being reb...

Is this Snuffy Smith / Ralph Burch Jr. 1988 Prototype Hyperdrive?
Some time ago I came across an Ebay listing for an old Hyperdrive car. The seller mentioned it was an old National record holder in its day. I was interested but let it pass and moved on. The listing was removed so I figured it sold long ago. Then a year or so later, it shows back up on Ebay so this...

Re: Repairing brushed motor ESCs
I have been hunting for a nice Tekin Titan ESC and took a chance on an untested unit. It passes power to the steering servo and the light indicates that the throttle calibration works, but it won't turn a motor. Does anyone know of someone that does ESC repairs? Any personal experience with their w...

Re: Things that irritate you
So, this guy has had my money for a week, and refuses to ship or provide tracking number because of numerous excuses. So, I get PayPal involved (paid via CC through PP goods or services), and they want me to sit on this for three weeks??? WTF kind of protection is that??? Why TF should this take th...

Re: Is this battery NICD or NMHI?
I was leaning nicd as well. I measured the voltage just for giggles and it was at 4V. I would have thought it would be dead all these years. Just for curiosity, I will slow charge it and see what happens

Is this battery NICD or NMHI?
Have an NOS PTI stick pack but no markings anywhere indicating NICD or NiMH. Any way to tell without cutting into shrink wrap?
