Sanyo yellow heatshrink
Hello I am rebuilding a RC12E to a runner with nimh cells, I would like to re shrink the cells in the period correct Sanyo plain yellow heatshrink. All I can find from the normal electronics suppliers is the thick rubbery type shrink rather than the thin type used on the old cells. Do any of you kno...

Re: RC12E Weightsaver prototypes
What bits do you need?
Bumper, full size or lightweight. Radio tray, origional 'T' shape or the triangular one above?

Re: RC12E Weightsaver prototypes
After over a year, I finally got round to starting this replica project
It is about 80% complete, I have to sort out the front bumper, wire it and find some suitable batteries.
Anyone know where to get the thin yellow heatshrink that Sanyo used to use?
All I can find is the thicker stuff

HI!... Anyone know what this car is? http://i361.photobucket.com/albums/oo58/Neal330ci/Neals%20RC%20Shop/Tamiya.jpg HI!... No one? I think this is an early Yokomo, I have a similar one and have always believed it to be one. Yes, Yokomo DeTomaso Pantera http://vintage-radiocontrol.com/yoko...

Re: RC12E Weightsaver prototypes
I forgot to mention something else about the picture I posted above. Notice that the rear wheels are on backwards, when I quized Phil Booth about this a short while ago, he told me the car was fitted with a prototype Thorpe differential, using gears rather than the Schumacher style ball diff. I have...

Well I have got a scan of the tray, big thanks Ryan, and some decent material. Now I need to sort out a router to cut some nice parts. Looks like my replica will hapen sooner than I had imagined.

Re: RC12E Weightsaver prototypes
The white polyprop I orderd arrived today, it looks to be a pretty good match. It is pure white sold colour, not translucent, from a company called GFG Plastics. I certainly would not be able to tell the difference when cut out and assembeled on to a car. It also gives the option of it being a runne...

Re: YR-F2 Standard
Thanks fo the great links, I have seen the Competition X site but not the French one before, there are some wonderful files on there.
But this is an good example of what i am finding, both these websites have copies of the YR-F2 Special manual, but not the standard YR-F2.

YR-F2 Standard
Whilst 1/12 is usually my thing, I do have a soft spot for the first YR-F2, the fibreglass one with no oil filled dampers. I have had a look though this bit of the foum and I can see very little about them. I think I have most of the bits to build one, but would like some photos to assist in making ...

I was at the 96 WC, I raced 1/12 and spectated for the Pro 10
I thought the 'RC11's ' looked great.
Would you let Fibrelite make some of these parts for me?
