Re: 2017 Vintage Off-Road Nationals - R/C Excitement, Inc. Fitchburg, MA - September 15-17

I'm excited to start seeing pictures around!

I had some bad luck in the Classic A main and Truck B main, but still had a blast, and absolutely crushed the wheelie class haha

Re: RC-10 yard-sale find!

Nice find! And it sounds like you have a similar attitude as me when it comes to the oldies: Air them out, but don't WEAR them out. It's enough fun to see a 25 year old car moving under its own power without treating it like some RTR toy. Enjoy! But be careful: RC10s tend to multiply. I currently h...

Re: Wild Willy yard-sale find!

We interrupt this train of thought to bring you an amazingly awesome web-link. Today's weblink is sponsored by ingenuity, and the letter T. http://autochunk.com/815/2012/06/26/rc-controlled-11-wild-willy-is-strikingly-awesome/ Now, back to your regularly scheduled post. I have thought about it, and ...

Re: Wild Willy yard-sale find!

The tires sure look the same, but I'm not sure on the diameter, I'll have to look. I have certainly thought about selling it. There's an ebay auction for a USED ONE THAT DOESN'T WORK that has 23 bids, and is up to $177... it still has 9 hours left so I am watching to see where this goes. The only pr...

Re: RC-10 yard-sale find!

When I say "runner", I don't mean something to treat like an every-day driver... I'm definitely going to try my hardest to keep it in the exact condition it is in right now. I want to at least put power to it, and give it the ability to move, and have some form of life. Plus, I promised th...

RC-10 yard-sale find!

hooooo boy was I excited to purchase this! Sitting in the driveway, looking ever so serene, and unfettered, sat this beautiful box, and that of a Wild Willy. I eagerly snatched both up for $50 each, and came home to brag about my find online  But really... The RC10 remained (until today) one of...

Wild Willy yard-sale find!

I bet you came in here expecting something beat-up and abused... nope, sorry, not here! This truck is literally never driven, never even put power to it, as far as I can tell. I still can't believe that I own one of these in such good condition now! I really don't want to run it, but I feel that I w...

Re: TEAM TEKIN 2014 VINTAGE OFFROAD NATIONALS • SEPT 5-7TH

How does everybody set up the torque curve on their ESC initially? I'm thinking of it as an electronic slipper clutch and have set mine to "quick" for a compact dirt track with little if any loose dirt per some research I've done as opposed to "normal" or "mild" for mo...

Re: UU's "Thundershot TRF Special"

So... I traction rolled it. DEFINITELY need to work on the suspension geometry once I get turnbuckle lengths sorted out. http://i1273.photobucket.com/albums/y402/UU92/unnamed_zpseb677ff3.jpg and I got the Pargu front brace in!... It is really nice. I want to see if I can get a rear brace in silver, ...

Re: TEAM TEKIN 2014 VINTAGE OFFROAD NATIONALS • SEPT 5-7TH

I've got another question for ya's... Will there be transponders for rent? Between paying for entry fees, buying new tires, and spending a few days down there, and also wanting to get new LiPos... I'm going to be all out of cash, and I don't actually have my own transponder. I was hoping I could ren...

Re: **Contest Questions/Comments**

I think it's a great idea! I've been on other forums where buildoffs don't work out, but I feel like you have the right community for it, here. I wouldn't really be able to join, as I don't have anything to build, and probably won't at any sort of convenient time, but I would LOVE to look through al...

Re: UU's "Thundershot TRF Special"

The more I look at this chassis, the more I think Kyosho ripped it off for the Shadow/Aero Streak. Or they were designed by the same guy. Anyway, are you going to do something about the chassis? What sorts of something? I don't have any plans for the chassis right now, beyond what I've already done...

Re: 2014 VINTAGE OFFROAD NATIONALS • SEPT 5-7TH - WOLCOTT HO

I am using the mamba to power my brushed motor

But I will need to remember to get some tires before it gets too close!
Also, what timing system is run? Would the newest Mylaps RC4 'ponders work?

Re: UU's "Thundershot TRF Special"

Yeah, I generally am pretty patient for parts. It SAID 5 to 10 days, but it's not like I'm going to start flipping tables if it takes longer.
I would have gotten the rear one, too, but it was out of stock.

Re: UU's "Thundershot TRF Special"

YES! That was it! Cool, now I'll have to get one... Silver, too! The one I saw was black, which I wasn't a big fan of. EDIT: Free shipping?... bought one, should be here by next week. Beauty-shots! I probably should have dusted off the inside of the window... I'll get more when I'm actually done. Si...
