Dt-02 shock tower mods?

Does anyone know of a modification or replacement part for the shock tower that is still available for the dt-02? We've been through two recently even after adding the brace across the top, and the 3racing alloy/fiber replacement is no longer available. Maybe there is another tamiya part that is com...

I would guess that what you had was a Nikko Thor. It had two motors and was very popular. I think radio shack had a rebranded version of their own also

Re: Tamiya Torque Tuned motor

I still like to run brushed motors in clean water on 3v for a few minutes to seat the brushes. That way the debris from the initial cut in washes out and doesnt build up inside the can

Does anyone know what was in the ultima parts bags?

I made some trades for a NIB ultima  I have bags 1,2,4,5,6,7,8, but I think I'm missing #3. Unless 3 is the card that has the shocks, gearbox, esc, etc... on it? Any help here would be appreciated, I've always been more into losi buggies but I couldn't pass this up :D TIA, it's just going to ...

Now I can get new front wheels for my NIB original. They're the only thing missing, and its bugging me, since nothing else has been opened

It's the only one I have. I've had a few over the years, but I've traded them all off. I've always been a Losi and Kyosho guy more than anything else.

Re: In your opinion: should an A stamp chassis be run, or shelved?

Yeah, that's kind of where I'm at with it. it has some scratches on the bottom, so it's not pristine. I may just set it up to run in a vintage class and start bugging the local track to start running one again.

In your opinion: should an A stamp chassis be run, or shelved?

I thought I'd ask you guys this question, because I'm on the fence about it. I was at a swap meet hosted by a local hobbytownUSA, and traded a twin hammers roller for an A stamp rc10. I wasn't going to, until the guy told me he was going to give it to his son to bash around the parking lots with it ...

was there ever a black 3 piece wheels made for the 10T?

I've got a guy on another forum that swears there was an uber-rare black 3 piece wheel made for the 10T, but I don't recall ever seeing one, just the one piece wheels. Was there a black 3 piece wheel for the 10T that I've just never seen?

Thanks,
Perry

Re: need some help: did any of the early optimas have belts?

I'm not sure how you'd benefit much, going that route. Ultimas were typically upgraded with graphite chassis plates, doing away with the aluminum frame assembly entirely. You *could* adapt Optima frame rails but you'd need to bolt those rails to partial plates anyway, especially to implement the st...
