I have found another oddity of this Gallop compared to my Gallop with silver shock and my Progress and the parts Gallop with silver shocks. The. Gold shock Gallop has thicker rear shock towers. Good choice going chain, i always liked the noisier sound of chain drive vs the silent running of the belt. Plus chain drive sounds more rough and out on the edge nowadays than belt does so it gives the nice feel.

I would also second the idea of a better lit pictures of your anodized chassis.

Nice javelin. I have to pick up a re-re orange cage and rear support post for my body less parts bin build. Love the optima series!!

this one won't be run but I have another in the mail and my progress just showed up today. Would yo have an idea of what gear could replace the final pinion in these beasts? th original is butter hard aluminum and the one in my progress is done shot.

Yay bearings have arrived, now to reassemble. Kyosho Progress will be picked up from the post office tomorrow so i can tell what shims to use on the rear diff of the Gallop.

what about the brushes? this one has the lay down style brush hoods I have only rear the vertical ones is there any performance advantage or maintenance considerations vs the old style?

just use these Tamiya #42137 ~ Competetion O-Rings for Oil Dampers i have rebuild a set of baby golds for my Gallop and they work great and don't leak.
