Re: Kyosho Turbo Scorpion 2016
Yes, but old people usually got money to spend. And 40 year old guys are usually nostalgic so Kyosho are on the right track But you are right, they could hurry up and release any car

Re: Optima is back!!
Great news :D looking forward to build a vintage racing machine and beat up some hot shots, i really think Kyosho did a good job on their re-release Scorpion so this is going to be interesting and expensive. I am hoping for beltdrive and fine pitch gears because i want a silent car  and a l...

Re: Ultima vintageracing
Yes i have thougt about changing servo position but using very small low-profile servo made me think that would be no weightshift forward. I do use small racinggear like savöx servos and LRP brushless esc, for yes keeping weight low. Blue bellcranks for Lazer ordered. The car is heavily understeered...

Re: Ultima vintageracing
Ha ha yes Richierich you are correct sir It is a blueprint of your car. And thank you Gomach for helping a computernoob.. :D I have some ideas to develop the plattform after some races, change the chassis and topplate to the lighter mark 1 chassis. New bellcranks and Triumph wishbones for smoother s...

Re: Kyosho Tomahawk Rerelease
This could be a great vintageracing machine with that new brushless ready gearbox, and of course that ole crappy handling so i can still blame the car..

Re: Optima mid vs Lazer?
I would like some advice comcerning suspensionarm strenght. While cornering with the car on a tight track and racing and rubbi'n is tolling on these vintage vehicles. How do you prepare your lazer for tough racing?I have heard of som weak spots in/on the front bulkhead. Solution? Dont hit stuff off ...

Re: Optima mid vs Lazer?
Lol welshy40..i wouldnt say the lazer isnt great..but in my opinion the biggest advantage handling wise the lazer has over the mid is suspension. You place the better suspension in the mid you also get the handling. they just have different ways of transmiting power. modifying too much of either ca...

Re: Optima mid vs Lazer?
Lazer by far a better car, mind ypu my buddy Rama aka Alcyon may say otherwise. You can still buy chassis and all varients including my design the tub. Also all towers, steering plates, L braces all from fibrelyte and belts are being made again and sold on ebay, so not too hard to race it. Im still...

Re: Optima mid vs Lazer?
Optima mid in swb form can be fairly twitchy on low traction surfaces. On carpet though, should be able to tune out any you like. Lazer was always a bit more stable I think in part from longer wheel base and better weight distribution. My preference would be a swb mid on a carpet track. That thing ...
