well, the drive train suspension all look raceable, but the lack of slipper clutch might hamper its drivability.
Also, that on road graphite chassis might snap on hard landings.

Re: Yet another Customised Optima Mid Custom Special

Thanks for sharing this stuff. I hate that this forum moves so slow. Every time one of us sells an old Kyosho part on Ebay, maybe we should be inviting the buyer to the forum. Glad to help, its frustrating some times trying so many different things, some work some don't. I hope all my discoveries w...

Re: Yet another Customised Optima Mid Custom Special

After my successful race on the 8th of February, I tested my Lazer ZX along side my LWB optima Mid a few days ago. The lazer ZX failed me yet again, at the rear arm lock. The rear gearbox mount screws failed and cause the arm mounts to come off, then my rear arms dislodged it self. The surface condi...

Re: Lazer (choo choo choo sound of cheesy 80s sci fi) Zeee E

Update, today I ran the ZX after changing the rear belt. I also used the Big boire kyosho shocks and Durango springs and 10degree ZX5 c hub from my LWB optima mid with 65.5mm front CVD. Had a few problems, first hit a wall and dislodged a rear arm. When I picked up the car I saw that the rear gearb...

Re: Ultima Diff Slipping - What Is Wrong

I thought only the old yokomo diffs use bent bolts. Of all my kyosho diffs none use bent bolts. If you run on a high traction track a gear diff will work great and almost maintenance free. If you are running on low traction ball diffs works better.

there was a strong team in Malaysia , but unfortunately their drivers were average at best. I gave some setup tips to the importer but he didn't want to take my advice, so...I really liked the car and I believed I could have done som ething with it, but since I already had my Kawada Alcyon, I didn't...

Re: Ultima Diff Slipping - What Is Wrong

I adjusted the screw in the diff the other day. When i drove the car today, it off and on would slip so bad the car wouldn't move. I tightened it all the way and the car drove ok for a free min but then it started slipping again. I kept fooling with it and sometimes even when the set screw was as t...

Re: Raced My LWB Optima Mid today

But a buddy of mine who is also into vintage buggies..let me drive his 93 worlds rc10 re re..and i was totally blown away by how it handles..it was so easy to drive and i ...
