Re: Original stealth slipper: 6594 + 6587 modern replacement?

Still available at EuroRC in Finland.

IIRC the diff spring on the RC10 classic (6gear) is actually the same size as the stealth clutch spring, the original 6gear diff spring being slightly larger. :D

Cheaper to wait for a whole stealth to pop up on ebay, they go for about $75 and you get everything. :D

Re: Novak t4 problem

What servo are you running? modern servos draw allot more current than vintage servos.

Futaba S148 ~500 mA

Modern servo > 1000mA

Re: Modern gold pan RC10 restoration?

Hi, I would advise against converting to rere wheels as its really a bottomless pit of cash and they have issues. It is way easier/cheaper to get JC racing wheels. As far as spur gear goes you need need to decide on what you want to run 32dp or 48dp, either way you need either pinions or spur. 71T 4...

I remember cycling two roads back to my mates house, balancing the car battery (in its square bucket) on the cross bar, with the huge blue Beaties bag over my shoulder. I don't know how I didn't kill myself!

Those where great chargers. A friend of mine had one, and it never gave him any trouble.
My Laser must of blown the power transistor at least 3 times and lets not even talk about the cooked cells because I forgot to put the thermistor in the pack!

Re: My Gold Pan restore chapter1

I was not aware that there were 2 different types of front stub axle/steering block combinations. Actually there are three. 6216 + 6219 (trailing hex) original design until wide arms came out. 6217 + 6218 (inline hex) You missed 6221 inline steering block for aluminum axle and 6220 aluminum axle.
