Re: Need help with my LUNCH BOX

Your steering servo appears to be plugged in backwards, the yellow wire should be on the inside pin.

Does the truck roll if you push it?

I would take the motor back out and see if it works as normal outside the truck. If it works fine then I would say something is binding in the driveline.

Re: Lexan Body Trimming - Scissors or Sharp Blade?

I tend to mainly use scissors to cut out my bodies but the Xacto gives a much cleaner finish. If your using the Xacto break off just the tip of the blade, this prevents it from wandering and gives you more control. When cutting a body with an Xacto support the body on the corner of the table and wor...

Kyosho SRT, or is it SRT Outrage?

Well, with my pile of parts it turns out I have collected enough parts to put together 90% of another truck. I always liked the looks of Kyosho ST's, so this is the hodgepodge I came up with. 20240228_230814.jpg It's basically left over Tra**as parts so you really couldn't call it a Kyosho. However,...

Re: Things that irritate you

So you're saying I should remove the postage from the Traxxas buggy I was about to send ya? 8) Go find out how much it costs to send a buggy from the US to Australia, and that will stop you in your tracks..... ain't that right, @RC10th - the Australian king of importing Traxxarse junk :P That...

Re: Getting the big Fairlane back on the road.... Going the whole 9 inches

I always liked the sound of those Hooker Aero-Chamber mufflers. But damn, they are heavy. Yeah, I wanted something that had good flow and sounded "different" They did sound great but were actually too loud if there is such a thing  I ended up putting tube mufflers before them so es...

Re: Getting the big Fairlane back on the road.... Going the whole 9 inches

Nearly done..... Just gotta torque the u-bolts so I can set the car down under its own weight to measure for drive shaft length. Those Strange 1350 u-joints are pretty big, and couple them with a 3.5" driveshaft... beefy.! I don't know why those parking brake cable sleeves are orange, I'll have...

Re: Getting the big Fairlane back on the road.... Going the whole 9 inches

I love it! It reminds me of the Burt Reynolds car in the movie "White Lightning". It may have been in "Gator" as well; can't recall. It's funny how tastes in cars change. I used to like cars that looked fast even if they were slow to cars that look slow but are fast. I bought th...

Similar, these caps are quite hard to find now and very rarely pop up for sale

This is my goal so to say albeit WAY more rusty and dented.

Re: Getting the big Fairlane back on the road.... Going the whole 9 inches

This leads me to wanting to make some Wile E decals that say "ACME Drag Shocks" for shits and giggles if someone has a look under the car. Coming along nicely! If you end up getting the S's&G's decals for the shocks....I'm one of those weirdos that gets on his belly to have a look at ...

Re: Getting the big Fairlane back on the road.... Going the whole 9 inches

I wasn't going to post this but speaking of sleeper I checked that the stock 14" rims still fit the Moser axles and the speed discs  Those Bridgestone tires also have a poor rating, and occasionally they come up on a buy 3 get one free deal, I don't really expect them to last too long anyw...
