Car and truck tranny brace difference?
Is there a difference in bulkhead brace screw hole pattern or length of the stealth tranny brace between the RC10 car and RC10T other than that body mount hole in the center?

Re: JConcepts Black Motor Plates anywhere?
I recently emailed jconcepts about them. After they explained they were no longer in production I expressed my opinion that they should still support the vintage vehicles. I bought a blue one.

Re: Stealth transmission felt dust gasket substitute part
Found the vintage hop-up part that is essentially non-existant now. It is made by ETA racing and is called the stealth transmission "super gasket". There were so many people jumping into the RC aftermarket in the 90's it seems. It would be so fascinating to see a comprehensive list of RC a...

Re: Stealth transmission felt dust gasket substitute part
I noticed on the RC10 worlds rerelease manual that they don't even include one, which is interesting.

Re: Stealth transmission felt dust gasket substitute part
There used to be a company that made one out of hard neoprene foam, like you can find on yoga mats and stuff like that. If you can dig around in crafts shop or Walmart or a place like it for some foam sheets, you can cut one out. Of course most guys just ditch it anymore. Good call, it's a fairly s...

Stealth transmission felt dust gasket substitute part
Since the felt dust gasket is no longer in existence for the old stealth transmission on the RC10T (part 6566 on the diagram, which strangely comes up as a plastic cover on lots of sites). What is a good substitute. My felt cover is starting to disintegrate. Would the T2 neoprene gasket work? RC10T2...

Re: Ebay RC10T2 resto
Breaking in the motor this weekend. Running it with no load, at 1/4 throttle for five minutes or so. The Novak esc works well with the newer 2.4GHz Futaba receiver. I set the 4pl radio to normal rx mode instead of super high frequency as per instructions. The servo that came with the chassis is a F...

Re: Any Good Radios Out There??
As was suggested here, I have been well pleased with the futaba 3PV. Seems to retain the traditional futaba durability in a lighter package. Good value.

That's the first I've seen where the servo is mounted at an angle. Was that a common practice of the era?

I'm in the geriatric parent end of things. Turned 40 and I'll be 58 when my youngest graduates from High School. Keeps you young.

Re: Help me make my RC10T great again
I didn't know Anderson PowerPole had different colors. Thanks for letting me know. :) I've never used them, but I have seen a lot of people that are really happy with them. I've been looking for some old school type connectors for my T2 which will be using a vintage esc, brushed motor, and servo. I...

Re: Help me make my RC10T great again
That's a tidy setup. I really like the tires. The esc/motor plugs...are they power poles? I've only seen them in red and black. Thanks. Yes the connectors are all APP. You can get multiple color options on powerwerx.com. In the spirit of my old litespeed connectors from the 90's I decided to retain...

Re: Help me make my RC10T great again
Nice parts list! Do you have any pics of it all installed? I think a 17.5 BL motor or a 19T brushed is perfect for these older models. Yes, not as nicely color coordinated as some builds here but a taste of the rainbow and nicely functional: https://thumb.ibb.co/fdt2fv/20170603_205955.jpg https://t...

Re: Vintage RC Kids Book from 1990
Cool find! The old Tamiya Clod buster was really something back then. All the neighborhood kids were jealous of the kid who had one.
