Re: Associated's '89 Stealth car (RC10GX)
Hi sandkill, are you going to make a Masami replica or are you going to go for a similar concept as your 91 stealth? Can't wait to see more progress.

Re: External Circlips Retaining Rings ID
Measuring the associated 5118 part, I think these from Mcmaster Carr are the right ones. https://www.mcmaster.com/90341A101/
Anyhow these are the Associated one.

Re: Hirosaka's Stealth RC10 used in Australia & Detroit Worlds
Horrible pics. They're from a video on Youtube. Masami, Halsey, Lett, Vehlow, and B main winner Kloeber. There is another one in the B main but I gotta try to figure out who it is. Drescher was in the A main, but looks like he ran a standard RC10. Screenshot from 2022-11-26 20-42-44.png Ha Ha Ha I ...

Re: My Yokomo YZ-834b Restoration
One question regarding the mechanical controller. Can someone explain the function? Ist seems to me that forward can be regulated, but reverse is seems only full and between 0 and full the motor gets short cut, ist that kind of break? Especially the large switch and why the drive battery is directl...

Re: Nosram ESC repairable?
Dadio, Yes they can be repaired no problem. If the brakes do not work the brake fets are bad, they will also affect reverse.
Look up Ian Mulhanny (not sure how to spell it) on FB. If not talk to dinglem he will be able to put you in touch with Ian.

Re: Shinwa Motor Dresser FET Instructions
The blown FET is more than likely an N-channel so basically any will do. I would recommend an IRFZ48N which is currently available.

Re: Novak Duster motor limit with 4 cells
Juicedcoupe is absolutely right, turn limits are suggestions, I would even say meaningless. Since there are so many factor involved: 4WD vs 2WD; high grip vs low grip; Battery capacity vs gearing; ambient temperature etc etc...

Re: Demon Pro King ESC
I guess they would have been considered outdated and large by 1989, although they did still occasionally appear in the magazine tech-spec sheets through '88 and '89 so there were clearly some top drivers still using them. I wonder whether they all had uprated spec units like the Rory Cull version t...

I cant imagine Nick made many more speedos after this one, by 1989 most of his former team drivers where running Nosram.

IMG_3854.JPG I finally re-heatshrinked mine again and had a peek at the date and serial number. 831 -243, Number 831 1982 week 43 I'm pretty sure the Demon 2C was probably the second most built after the proking which I have seen go into the low thousand. I wonder how many Novak 1's where made 10's...

Re: Demon Red Base Plate motors (1986)
Nice find Martin, The Mr-T was the motor to have in 1986, when BRCA "standard" class simply meant sealed motors with bushings. I'm not sure about the winds, here is what I remember. HT, single 27 HT-special, single 25 Mr-T, double 24 Mr-T special, double 22 All of these motors "may&qu...
