Hi Kent, there are many photos showing the light weighed front rim but rarely the rear. Can you take a photo of the rear rim to show us.
So after all those weight saving jobs, naked receiver, was the 12i far below 880g or just made.
By the way, Carbonell's delta had three spoke fron rims.

The un-cut can-am on the left, called Oscella C. It was from Parma. The mounted one is a TOJ. Less popular than TOJ.

Re: Vintage AE Ad -- 1979 RC12E "Go Racing With The Team"
Thanks Kent, that's interesting. The Cat Paw tire is quite heavy. In regard of the ball diff, the very first generation did not have big bearing at the center of the spur gear and I remember lubing the aluminium hub and the right wheel on the axle with diff grease. Yes, then some time later, then Sc...

Kent, can you show us your transmitter(s)?
As a pro driver, had you ever have any hesitation with the E chip mounting method on the front tires on Assoc?

Re: Vintage AE Ad -- 1979 RC12E "Go Racing With The Team"
Thanks Kent for the servo mounting info. Humm.. That should be the chassis stiffener... but not graphite. But the way, when did the ball diff axle equipped with ball bearing on the spur gear? Was it the 64 pitch era? Or if it had already been a pro modification in the 32 pitch years? Was the cross b...

Can someone provide or lead the discussion of the Mccoy racing engine?

Hello, I would like to know how the pro drivers get around the taper /cone tire issue as there was no camber adjustment, or where to shim, on the front and the rear suspensions.

Re: If you could ask Gene Hustings...
Hello Steve, I would like to know if the graphite composite from D & D graphite were made to fit the Associated cars or if it was the application of already existed produts from DD. For example, the graphite box chassis for RC500, was it tailored for the RC500 or if it was a standard rectangular...

Re: Vintage AE Ad -- 1979 RC12E "Go Racing With The Team"
Hello Kent, I would like to know the steering mounting issue in 12i. Nowadays, the shaft of the steering servo is placed on the centre line of the chassis to maintain the left and right travel/ ackerman angle equal. However, in the 12i, as well as Delta Super Phaser, the servo is mounted so that the...

Re: Vintage AE Ad -- 1979 RC12E "Go Racing With The Team"
Thanks Kent . So what do you think is the best mechancial speed control at big races?? I know and used the "Reedy's trick" by adding a wiper at the full speed position to ensure best contact. Some used a BIG micro switch there, some used the short side of the resistor to get more punch pow...

Re: DELTA Ck790E
Is the motor mounting adjustable or fixed just like the gas version? In the gas version, the engine mount cannot be shifted. Gear ratio is adjusted by changing the spur and pinion in pair (or something similar to pitch changes in the pinion).

Re: Vintage AE Ad -- 1979 RC12E "Go Racing With The Team"
WC1982 Kent, it sounds to me that the lightweight resistor speed control was not in the product list of AE but Parma. Am I correct?
By the way, anyone knows if the standard size resistor now available from Parma nowadays (under slot car controller section) the same as we used in the 12E?
