I think it's a cool idea, there have been RC10T to Buggy conversions that bring it close to 1:8 scale from the buggy perspective.
I am actually thinking of making one myself based off a RC10GT electric conversion. I think it wuld be cool to get a 1:8 scale 2WD class going.

For a shelf queen, perhaps. Depending how crazy you want to go I beg to differ, but that is just my humble opinion.TheDiamondOne wrote: ↑Sun May 01, 2022 8:31 pm The 6 gear is ten billion times better than a stealth. Great car.

Re: My RC10 (runner)
I have to say what an outstanding build!
I might try something similar with my mid motor conversion. Currently I have the shocks and tower all the way in the back, which places the wing even further back.
Very inspirational!

I can’t believe that I missed this thread, from 2014! I built my first mid motor graphite conversion around 2015. Nothing close to this level though!
All I can say is AWESOME BUILD!

Re: RPM Gearbox Housing
Traxxas does offer their own arm mounts Model# 2797 for like 2 bucks a pair.
But unfortunately this is not the first time I hear about this transmission case causing issues. I was considering one for my Radicators but will most likely pass.

Re: Mid Motor Rustler Build
That is one REALLY cool build!
The standup transmission comes in looking really close to a reversed standard Rustler tranny.
The only other thing I'd watch out for is heat development having the battery and the motor so close to each other.
Keep up the amazing work and keep us posted,

Re: Traxxas cars... I get it now
At current prices, the Pro-Line transmission would be more appealing. In the long run, I'm sure the Traxxas transmission would be the smarter choice, as replacement parts will be around for decades. I just checked out the Pro-Line Transmission. Looks like Traxxas copied that design. Here in Europe ...
