Re: Sludge's JRX2 Pro

Sometimes it's better to hold out for a better one but the parts are out there so you just need to keep looking and be patient. I received two JRX-2's in a trade a few years ago along with some spares and it was only after taking them both apart and cleaning everything up that I realised that things...

Re: Alternative to original XX velcro battery strap

I wonder if there's anyone out there doing similar Velcro straps but in neon yellow? I replaced the original black straps for the yellow ones that were sold by UK Losi distributers 'Helger' under the Trick Bits banner Bitd, I would love to find some more for my recreation of that old XX 8) There's ...

Re: Two Losi Double XX cars in three days

Mark, One of them is certainly a XX but the other appears to be a bit of a mix of XX and JRX-2 - still, not a bad score for $30!!! Looks like a strip down, clean and re-build is required. The owner/instruction manuals are available on-line over at http://www.vintagelosi.com and most parts can still ...

Re: XX Foam Outdrive Bearing Shield(s)

Thanks guys....this certainly helps clear up the confusion. I have part number A-3078 and those large blue seals are nowhere to be seen so I'm either going to have to find an older pack or make some. I'm sure the bearing itself will suffice as a template so all I need to do is locate some thin foam ...

XX Foam Outdrive Bearing Shield(s)

According to the the XX manual, the foam outdrive bearing shield (92) is available as a spare, as part number A-3078. However, when searching for this part number (on eBay or Google) the large bearing shield does not appear to be present in the packet. Is anyone able to shed any light on this as I'd...

Re: XX project

And it appears that those wheels could be Pro-Line......or are they just standard white XXX wheels? If they're Pro-Line, you could always dye them black or maybe purple....

....purple would be cool!

Re: Old / New XX

Yes....it was well looked after during my racing days. As far as the HD goes -and I have built one up recently - I can recommend taking the two halves of the housing and then rubbing the half without the tabs on some emery paper taped down to a flat surface. Just rub gently, and don't push too hard,...

...not this time though!
