Re: Ebay junk

Not everyone is like that. I've been selling on Ebay for 13+ years and 3000 transactions. I take highly detailed photos of flaws and even make sure to describe them and use something like a pointer in the picture. I've been burned just as many times on FB marketplace in all the groups we all probabl...

Re: RIP Ernie Provetti (Trinity)

Met him once at a large hobby show as a young lad. I worked at a hobby shop so we had a booth. Used that angle and some friends and I ended up buying bulk motor brushes from Trinity. I like to think my 14 year old business savvy conversation with him made it happen. We made a custom jig and were han...

Re: Vintage, Vintage, Vintage... I'm getting tired of it!

Yeah, people feel that way. To me the production length is sort of irrelevant. The basic bones of the T4 were designed in 2000 or so. Yes it was tweaked but regardless. Is a Tamiya made today that is no different than when it was made in 1987 Vintage? I'd say so. What about a rere RC10? It's only 7 ...

Re: Vintage, Vintage, Vintage... I'm getting tired of it!

I'd say T4's are vintage at this point given the SAE hardware if nothing else. Original RC10's JRX2's etc. those are antique. If our European folks chime in I like how they divide their bigger vintage races by year rather than traditional motor. For a fun event it makes more sense than saying an ori...

I'm so old I posted a rant thread of my own without noticing there was already a rant thread.

Re: Losi Mini JRX2 coming soon

I think we can compromise on the XT chassis. Just need the Body, Body Mounts and wheels and tires. Close enough. Technically the Pro needs a different chassis too but take what we can. That said, anecdotally seems these are a hit worldwide. Horizon has the deep pockets and a different chassis they c...

Re: Losi Mini JRX2 coming soon

Thanks everyone, I will read and do have a Microcenter relatively nearby. Now back to mini X2's. When can we expect the JRXT and Pro Se conversions?

Re: Losi Mini JRX2 coming soon

Got it, reading up on the ender 3 now. Thanks. I get it's a hobby and I can grow but I also know me. I am not passionate about it say like RC. So if I don't get going and learn the basics hands on I will not grow, I will get frustrated. I need it to work and then I learn and go down the wormhole.

Re: Losi Mini JRX2 coming soon

$200 max, pick my printer. Easy set up, compact would be ideal for my space. Won't print anything bigger than a 1/10 wheel. Easy set up, work out of box without obtaining a computer science degree and having to read 56 forums that will confuse me more. I like the size of this one for instance. https...

Re: Losi Mini JRX2 coming soon

Looks great, almost makes me want to learn 3d printing. Do it, I am running cheap Ender 3 pros and I have made more things then I could count. From RC bits to spacers for my Mothers mobility scooter to wiper rack bushings for a vintage VW :) Every time I think I am ready. I get overwhelmed and the ...

Re: Losi Mini JRX2 coming soon

That's the style I would want for sure. I wonder if maybe bending one out of I don't know say 2mm Kydex? 1.5mm perhaps. Wait, I have a left over Chinese food black container that seems about right, where's my heat gun!

Solid life advice right there! I will be traveling an hour or so to track that races Mini B and T's. I intend to dominate, take all the trophies, and never show up again. I will be a legend who blew into town and was never seen again.
