Re: DIY rocking horse manure
If you have a toaster oven you can crank it up as high as it will go and you will get something that works. Just degrease it first

Re: DIY rocking horse manure
Heat it to glowing orange, and quench in an oil bath until you can handle it. Then the important part is the temper, hopefully you tempered it, taking it between 700-400 degrees F (depending on how hard you want it) for a part that size, about an hour. You want it tough so I would temper at about 50...

At that time wheel offsets were pretty small. So to increase the suspension length you needed to stretch the arm and get the added length wherever you could. That meant putting the inner mount closer inboard.

No that chassis sits naked currently. I will eventually get an Andy pro arrow I think for it.

Re: What is the rarest R/C part you have
I certainly remember that project. It was fun if not stressful putting those rare wheelsn under the knife. Glad they worked out . Yeah I guess rare and valuable are kind of different. You can argue any of the parts I make are rare, because I make things in low qty. But probably not very valuable. Th...

Yeah I guess rare and valuable are kind of different. You can argue any of the parts I make are rare, because I make things in low qty. But probably not very valuable. I do have a ayk race prep pro radiant. I have the spur adapter which is pretty rare. I have a set of rogue element rc10 wheels. I ha...

It appears that your esc is plugged into the bat port. It should be in ch2. But the photo is fuzzy and it might be just fine. There may also be something wrong with any of the three pieces

Good, glad that helped. Anti-sieze is always a great idea with stainless steel, regardless of the other material.

Don't stress over that. You won't see any significant galvanic corrosion unless you are soaking it in saltwater. Just build it man.

Re: Piece by Piece or Parts lot
I scour the net for a particular part if I need it and also look at badly worded listings and generic things and have purchased a lot of items for just one particular thing. It seems to work out well in the long run, but you do get some stinkers from time to time.

Re: Graphite RC10 with fuzzy dice
You would think. But I'm being really nitpicking for a particular reason and those have 13 coils, the image of the spring from amain has only 11. I've been trying to figure out a black spring with 13 coils for a replica. They may well be right and the image is wrong, but trying to clarify.
