Re: Steel and Aluminum RC10 Outdrives-- Coming Soon!
Thanks for the info/update, Jeff. I'd really rather have these made in the USA outdrives than keep chasing AE ones.

Re: ESC scrambled or poached?
You could paint the positive end/side of the battery red. I see that a lot. +1 on the paint. I do that with all my lipo batteries. Another tip has to do with the leads/wires from the ESC to the battery. I make the positive wire just long enough to reach it's socket. That way, it can't reach the neg...

Re: Scr8p's Worlds Re-re #2 / Modern Satoshi Maezumi Replica / 2017 Vonats Build
Ahh, I do that all the time... waste money on stuff that I thought would work and it doesn't or it's a part that I already have!

Re: Shining Star SSC 10 Build
I neglected to come back with a report of the trip... The journey took me to Norfolk, VA (Sentara Heart Hospital) for my heart transplant check up. Had a nuclear stress test, carotid artery study, labs, lots of tubes of blood drawn, and a clinical visit. All turned out good. So, back to the build wi...

Re: NomadRacer's RC10 Trailing Arm Truck
I got an ESC for the truck the other day... Hobby Wing QUICRUN 10BL120 w/Program Card. I added a PSM Carbon Fiber fan guard. Next is to get a Tx/Rx. Futaba is out of stock so I don't know what I'm going to do

Re: RC10 Factory Works C2 "Tuber" Build
Hey radioactivity- No big secret as to which tubing bender I'm using. This one has the tightest tolerance, i.e., no play in the handle movement... https://www.ebay.com/itm/322244746338?hash=item4b07489c62
Here, I've sanded off the blue paint to better see the markings...

Re: RC10 Factory Works C2 "Tuber" Build
I got the battery (shorty lipo) holdown sorted out today. All I'm lacking is to mark and drill the 4 holes in the chassis plate to mount it. I used an Exotek brand #1827 system from AMain with a couple of mods and some 10mm tall hex stand offs. It looks pretty slick. You will be able to adjust it fo...

Re: RC10 Factory Works C2 "Tuber" Build
Hmmm, round chainsaw files to notch the tube ends? I would never have thought of that. Brilliant! Hey, how are you sharpening your lathe tools? I have a bench grinder but I think the wheel is too coarse, it spins too fast (it creates too much heat) and I have no way to accurately control the grind ...
