Re: New to me T4.2 Factory Team Kit
Thanks for the tip. Just what I needed, for my collection to start a creep into the modern stuff. But if it's modern with an old body maybe it averages out.

Re: Cheapest Brushless ESC Test and Review
I just ran my first pack (5000mah 2s lipo) through the esc. The new tires on my stampede are oversized and heavy and I definitely was geared too high, but it was problem free wheelie poppin fun the whole time. Motor was running a little warm at the end for a cool overcast day at 160` but the esc nev...

RC10T Rebuild AWESOME!
Hey everybody! Wanted to show off my rebuild. I ended up taking this whole thing apart. I bought this car in a lot of multiple others. It has the stealth transmission on it. I was able to get most of the white acrylic paint off the body and pan. I switched out the motor, speed control and receiver. ...

Re: Vintage-Modern Build to be Raced
Hi, project looking good. I can share my experience from racing my worlds rere. There are a few things You need to do: Use 6565 transmission case and 6570 idler (the rere one is unusable, the gear mesh is wrong). The 8-32 x 1/2" rere screw break on jumps the philips head goes in too deep and th...

Re: RC10T Team build from parts bin
I use the non-flanged bearings in the truck rear hubs. With the universals I usually run 1-2 spacers between the axle and the inner bearing so the pin is snug but doesn't inhibit free spinning. Thanks for the info. It turns out that I have lots of flanged bearings and spacers but no 1/4" beari...

Re: RC10T Team build from parts bin
Since the last update we have made a bit more progress on the back of the truck: back_end4.jpg back_end5.jpg I noted earlier in this thread that I couldn't find any decent white nylon 4-40 flanged nuts in my parts bin, and it seems they are no longer available from AE. However, I was able to source ...

Re: Best tires for asphalt/street bashing?
Have you tried the Traxxas Anacondas yet? They are a 2.2, modern, available, and inexpensive.

Re: RC10T Team build from parts bin
The nylon nuts are from Essentra Components. The 8-32 ones are part number 0700832LN or 0700832SLN. The 4-40 ones are part number 0700440SLN or 0700440LN. I believe the difference between the two sets of part numbers is that the 's' variant is self-threaded. They are also listed as white instead of ...

Re: My very first RC car restoration (A stamp RC10)
watch out for the vultures!
Absolutely awesome that you found your own car after all these years! And cool McAllister lowering kit. I'd actually leave it on, it's part of the car's history!
All the best,
Paul

Re: RC10 graphite
I have recently put a 21.5 in my original 6 gear equipped short arm RC10 and I think it offers a perfect retro power level. A 17.5 can also be more manageable without the diff ripping punch of a 4 pole. If you are using a 3300kv motor, it sounds like it's sensorless. I have used the same in mine, as...

Re: B2 motor plate on gold tub?
I believe it can be done but it needs to be modified. Scr8p put one on one of his builds quite a while back.
