The most "rare" production RC10 buggy ever... RC10GX

To the experts on this forum, what, in your opinion would you consider the most rare production (publicly available) RC10 buggy? What is your criteria? My vote for the rarest RC10 is the 1989 RC10GX (Japanese Spec graphite, early version with pre-stealth transmission), only because the production nu...

I wanted to start a thread focusing on all the pictures (and discussions, comments welcome) available for all the actual IFMAR off-road 2wd and 4wd winning cars from 1984 till 2020. If you can post all 2WD and 4WD 10th scale buggy winners (from whichever country and magazine) that would be awesome a...

Re: Yokomo 1994 YZ-10 Super Dogfighter YZ-10 with vintage electronics

Thank you for sharing, absolutely stunning!!! I may be a little jealous given it has taken me 7 years to piece my 94 together and it is still not complete. This definitely keeps me motivated :D Thank you kindly. Well, I must say I was lucky in getting this model via auction. I learned after the fac...

Re: Any tips on reducing a collection

This is what I have tried done...to help reduce my collection. What are the ten 2WD, 4WD, and miscellanious that are very "precious" to me? This would be about a maximum collection of around 30 I might put in a case/display/shelving system. I'm a vintage shelf queen collector for the first...

Re: Wondering about the new old buggies

I was wondering how these reissued buggies perform with today’s electrics? I read Kyosho have tweaked them for BL & LiPo but presumably the geometry is the same so does vast amounts of power release previously unseen potential in these cars or does it just highlight the ageing chassis design &a...

Team Associated Japan RC10GX (unboxing) early six gear tranny

This was the first RC10GX (NIB) I ever saw auctioned off in Japan. It is the earliest version of the RC10-GX. The main difference between this and the US spec is the inclusion of Yokomo aluminum wheel adaptors for Yokomo 2.15 inch rear wheels, extra spring set, and Japanese advice manual. The manual...

Re: Team Associated Japan RC10GX (Rare NIB RC10-GX )

Seen the thread, and have the buggy too. After two hours, burning through a whole lot of cash, and reading through Japanese magazines to post about the GX for this forum ... I need one person out there to give me positive encouragement to keep posting. Just one lol.

Go on keep posting …… I dare you 😜 Only because you are a Kiwi...here are some additional photos of the GX. Best experience of my life was studying abroad at Auckland Uni where I did Maori studies. I learned hongi, scuba, backpacking, repelling off a cliff, polynesian culture, and nice strangers --...

Re: Team Associated Japan RC10GX (Rare NIB RC10-GX )

Any dates for the release of this tub version of the GX? Im looking at your rear hubs, look like 91-92 lightened versions? I see this is stealth gearbox, the version of Masamis 89 Reedy i believe it was sporting stealth due to the rear screws look inboard for stealth. Also wondering if Masamis rear...
