Re: New toy in the shop
Got some time today to paint the Predator 3D print that I finished printing last night. Took 7 days of printing and about 6 hours of paint work but it's gonna look great in the theater room. https://i.imgur.com/JKKyy0n.jpg https://i.imgur.com/lxT1gdN.jpg https://i.imgur.com/lXNfGgJ.jpg https://i.img...

Re: 1/5 scale monster truck project
Been working almost daily on this since getting it back. Got a lot done. Most the stuff is in and mounted in the chassis. Just made the limiting straps and installed those yesterday. Printed an LED headlight panel that will also act as a bit of a shield that will help to keep a bit of the dirt off t...

Re: 1/5 scale monster truck project
I finished this 1/5 scale Hesse axle truck build about a month ago, but had not ran it yet. Mainly due to a big spike with my tinnitus it's just had me very down and in a dark place not feeling well at all. So decided to try to get a bit back to feeling like myself again by getting the 1/5 scale out...

Re: 1/5 scale monster truck project
Took the custom 1/5 scale out to the local park today to stretch its legs since this is only the 2nd ever run after completion. To say it exceeded my hopes for speed would be an understatement. It's actually kind of scary to see something 50lbs and nearly 3ft long going that fast. It's definitely go...

Re: 1/5 scale monster truck project
Another day another test for the 1/5 scale. Today is its first few jumps to see how it gets some air. Handles great, only one mishap due to my driving lol. I was worried the ramp wouldn't handle the weight but it seemed okay for now. Bigger air to come as I get more use to this big truck. MtuQ4MK2Nlc

Re: 1/5 scale monster truck project
Upgrades/mods on the 1/5 scale today. As with any custom project after you get it going there's always the chasing down of what needs to be more heavy duty. One major issue was breaking servo gears in the s9020 servo in crashes. Even with the HD servo saver when 50lbs of truck slams the front wheels...

10 years!
Today makes it exactly 10 years since I put down cigarettes for good and became a non smoker. By far one of the top three big choices I have ever made in my life for myself

Re: 10 years!
Congrats. That is one of the hardest things to do. I know, I've been trying. Just don't stop trying. I honestly bet I tried to quit probably 100+ times, I mean serious tries and not just little well I should stop types, but serious "I need to quit and this is it" type tries. I tried every...
