Re: So what did you get in the post today ???
This will be me my last rc purchase for awhile...so pretty cool it was a "holy grail". My 360pt in my collection quit working, so i bought this to replace it. Its brand new never ran....i usually test all my vintage motors on a machine and in the "Salute" (see Feb. BOTM) but not ...

Re: new Losi 22s '69 Camaro No Prep RTR drag car
Believe me, when this guy hits the curb upside down for the first time, I may cry a little. But that is just the game I guess. dr10 body 1.jpg Sorry you have not gotten good feedback on your original question. I know nothing about Spektrum products outside of Rx/Tx. The motor Kv is about twi...

Re: 1/5 scale monster truck project
Took the custom 1/5 scale out to the local park today to stretch its legs since this is only the 2nd ever run after completion. To say it exceeded my hopes for speed would be an understatement. It's actually kind of scary to see something 50lbs and nearly 3ft long going that fast. It's definitely go...

Re: Refreshing a RC10 GP - Will Have Many Questions Along The Way
I did some quick math. My JConcepts Hazzard RC10 tires are 3.15" tall. Your RC4WD tires are 3.83" tall. Those are the numbers I used to calculate the effective ratio. An 81/18 spur and pinion (re-re) with the 1.83 transmission equals 8.24:1 final gear ratio. But when combined with the tall...

Re: Refreshing a RC10 GP - Will Have Many Questions Along The Way
I love following projects like yours! Mostly because this is how I roll ( ) also. I like to use what I have on hand whenever possible. I'm looking forward to seeing how your project evolves. I also lol'd at your comment: So if you owned a sail rail in real life, and your neighbor had a mild m...

Re: Refreshing a RC10 GP - Will Have Many Questions Along The Way
It seems like gearing for oversized tires should be similar to what is used for early RC10 truck conversions. From a stadium truck standpoint those are a typical tire diameter. Aside from the gearing, maybe also give the wheels and rear area an examination to make sure everything rotates freely with...

Re: Today, Right Now, Your Most Fun RC Surface Vehicle?
Given perfect conditions and having the day off (which i do), which RC car would i take out for the most fun? Hmmm...Although im a nitro guy and most of my collections is associated...i would have to go with my little custom Axial SCX10 bucking Bronco. It has a custom short wheelbase STRC chassis wh...

Re: 10 years!
Congrats. That is one of the hardest things to do. I know, I've been trying. Just don't stop trying. I honestly bet I tried to quit probably 100+ times, I mean serious tries and not just little well I should stop types, but serious "I need to quit and this is it" type tries. I tried every...

Re: Good Cheap 38mm Wide Servos?
A Futaba S132H fits perfect, if you can find them. They pop up on eBay fairly regularly. Futaba had some others in that size but I don't remember the numbers.
If you are willing to drill a new hole, a Hitec 225MG fits and offers even more room. The Hobbico servo in the gold pan is a rebranded 225.

Re: Picture of the day. (Taken by you)
Me and my pops went to see the Yankee Fork dredge Thursday (he hadn’t been inside it yet, the first time it was not open- second time I went with my wife which was the prior pic). After that we went to watch No Prep Kings and figured out the other dredge, Sumpter Valley, isn’t too far out of the way...
