Re: RC10T3 Factory Team build
Very nice build. I appreciate you adding the bagged photos of the upgrade parts. They are a nice reference for T3 parts.

Re: RC10T2 Fun Truck
I don't know how they'll hold up, but Traxxas 7270 tires are a cheap option ($12/pair) and are in the 2.2" size. I've been on a tire options binge lately (outfitting 3 trucks) and now have mounted up a set of these too.

Re: Refreshing a RC10 GP - Will Have Many Questions Along The Way
It seems like gearing for oversized tires should be similar to what is used for early RC10 truck conversions. From a stadium truck standpoint those are a typical tire diameter. Aside from the gearing, maybe also give the wheels and rear area an examination to make sure everything rotates freely with...

Re: Pan car
The annoying thing with 32 pitch (from my way back years) is there were metric cut and USCS cut gear teeth. I used to have different 32P pinions for my 12i and for my Turbo Optima. The metric pinions always seemed to have a thicker, more elliptical tooth shape. Packages never seemed to state a diffe...

Re: Motor Collection - Old School Horsepower
That's a fantastic collection of motors. There's quite a few that I've never heard of before.

Re: Took this one out to show it some love
You do an awesome job with your monster trucks. That's worthy of a Monster Jam freestyle performance.

Re: Thinking about dyno's for brushed motors
I finally came up with a sacrificial dogbone to complete my drive line assembly. I also decided to swap in a spare Traxxas ESC for the testing duties. What I found out with my initial testing is: 1. This RPM meter is are constant drain on a connected battery when not in use. It's definitely a batter...

Re: New to my RC garage: TC3
After first trial and seeing how fun the TC3 is to drift on pavement, my son claimed it as his own. The only real solution is that we need 2 TC3s... (or maybe more than 2...) So this well cared for, Lotus bodied example arrived during lunch. I'm certain this will become the new claim and I'll get th...

Re: So what did you get in the post today ???
The mail brought me the right tool for when the right tool fails you. One car came with a nice Trinity SG Amber motor, but also a stuck set screw that was deformed beyond working with any allen wrench. Great Planes makes a nice little pinion gear puller that made short work of removing the pinion. O...

Re: New to my RC garage: TC3
I had a composite/plastic CVD dogbone break at the u-joint pin. I ordered repair parts, but am considering converting to regular dogbones. I have this giant bottle of green loctite structural adhesive, so I made up a set by cutting and bonding with a brass sleeve. Not sure how durable they will be, ...

Re: Interesting Radio Mod
I remember after Masami Hirosaka won a championship with his Schumacher Cat, he did a victory lap around the track with a stick radio using his feet.

Re: What's your favorite & least favorite steps when building a new kit?
Favorite: the building. All of it.
Least favorite: the body paintwork. I have no painting ability and my masking aways leaks.
