RC10 Team car restoration
Like many people here I had a gold pan RC10 when I was a kid, there was a track in my town so I race a bit. I added some stuff to my car like wide front arms, a graphite chassis and an MIP transmission. I lost that car in a move, recently I have bought and restored a few vintage Tamiya and Kyosho ca...

Re: RC10 Team car restoraion
I took the whole car apart and started cleaning the plastic parts and sorting out what screws and hardware was missing. Most of the stuff was there, I just needed to find some parts for the shocks. First big project was to do some work on the chassis, I was out of the game when this car came out so ...

Re: RC10 Team car restoraion
Started to put the front end together, the white parts came out really well and look much better in these pictures. I added some Lunsford retro titanium turnbuckles and found some steering arms from the world car re-release that look pretty good. The car I had when I was a kid had yellow A&L ste...

Re: RC10 Team car restoraion
Rebuilt the rear hub carriers, the bearings were pretty shot so I put new ones in. The dogbones were ok, a little bent and rusty so I straightened them out and painted them semi-gloss black. One of the shock collars was missing, looked around for some original ones but ended up getting some 3D prin...

Re: RC10 Team car restoraion
Here is the body, it's a reproduction Mirage from Team Blue Groove in Canada. It came with a new rear wing. I had the wing wire and buttons from the kit, I just had to take some paint off of them before I put them on the new wing. It's hard to tell in the picture but the black and red are metal flak...

Re: RC10 NEO Stealth Car
Added the electrics, I put in a Novak 75 mh Synthesized receiver that looks pretty good with this car. I had a Novak brushless setup with a 17.5 motor, this car was designed to be from the late 80's but the motor makes it more practical. Still not sure what I am going to do for wheels and tires plus...

Re: RC10 NEO Stealth Car
Finally got around to painting the body, I put a Mirage SS on it and found a generic RC10 undertray from Team Blue Groove. To me the undertray is a must for this car.
Now that I look at it I think the colors are more Kyosho than Associated but its too late now

Re: RC10 NEO Stealth Car
Had some extra time this afternoon so I started cutting up the body and got it to fit, if you build one of these cars you really have to cut the crap out of the body for it to fit. Michael the designer has a Protech II on the cars he built but since I put a Mirage body on it I ended up cutting the f...

Re: RC10 NEO Stealth Car
Finished the body with some stickers from MCI Racing and some I had lying around, also painted the rear wheels black. I put some numbers on it since back in the day everyone had a number on their car.
Calling this one done.

Re: Losi JRX2 rebuild
Few pictures of the finished gearbox, it looks pretty cool with the slipper.
I put a robinson 85T spur gear on it since it looks better

Re: Losi JRX2 rebuild
Here is the competed front end I put new arms on it, they are 3D printed but are new. The ones on the car were ok, the were scratched a bit but also were bent like they were sitting in the sun too long. The c hubs and steering arms are fine, just cleaned. I put new ball cups on it and a new reproduc...

Re: Losi JRX2 rebuild
Finished rear end I replace all the suspension links with 3D printed ones since it was all I could find. I ordered white ones since I have been messing around with dying parts with Rit Dye which worked pretty well for me with some old wheels. Tried dying them black which didn't really go to plan, I ...
