Re: Anyone have an SR10?
The car came the other day and it's actually pretty cool. It is basically a buggy with an oversized car body, sort of like a modern day version of the DS. I scored a good deal on this one without electronics, it's a shame that the car isn't offered as a kit. Should be fun..... 20220421_212531.jpg 20...

Re: AYK Radiant - Mid Conversion
I am about to start the strip and clean-up on this car.... but one thing i have noticed is that is also has the rather unusual front one-way wide rims as per the Maverick, prior to the later one-way hex hubs which followed on the Pro Radiant. I have checked with Steve Dunn and having seen an early A...

Trailing arm '2wd Concept Car' prototype
When an ex-CML driver tells you he has a stripped down one off trailing arm 2wd car in his loft.... I was buying some MG motors off a guy around 18months ago and when i met up with him for the exchange he told me that he was at one time a team CML (Central Models) driver, and that he had been given ...

Testing brushed motors with a Tekin 900 Pro Dyno
I've been watching these Tekin 900 dynos sell from $70 up to $300. I found one toward the lower half of that price range and decided to snag it. . PXL_20220506_185222984.jpg . The manual is here: https://www.rc10talk.com/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=18724&p=494248 My reason for avoiding Tekin peak ch...

Re: Motor Collection - Old School Horsepower
Yup, slot brushes.... harking back to the slot car origins of many of the RC motor builders. Quite a few motors can be found with modular endbell slot conversions - there were a few companies who offered them. I try to collect them whenever i come across them. I am waiting on delivery of an early Tr...

Re: Motor Collection - Old School Horsepower
Just for reference, here are two early pre-Yokomo endbells which have been converted to slot brushes. This service was offered by Checkpoint and sold through Bolink. slot igarashi.jpg I have located these two after much hunting but still haven't sealed the deal to get my hands on them yet....if anyb...

Intronics Slot Brush Conversion Review
Lots of talk about slot brush conversions on here recently, so here is a review from Radio Race Car magazine discussing the offering from Intronics.
An interesting read.

AYK Pro Radiant Flaming Hot Body!!
This is the look that has haunted me since I was a kid after re-reading this mag review over and over again. Flames were my signature paint scheme during my racing days, thanks largely to this car (and the Radio Race Car 870c mag review). I have just enough spares to build one more Pro Radiant, so i...

Re: Motor Collection - Old School Horsepower
Dinglem
Thanks for PM.
Well I just found the motor which was made by MIH.
Even when the can looks similar to the Trinity or Sping, it is different. Based on an Igarashi again.
But look at the endbell. it looks like a shrunk Yokomo endbell. Shrunk for slot brushes.
