Re: Tamiya Sand Scorcher - 2010 Reissue
I will have the oil based Sharpie pen, the acrylic based pens, and I also have Tamiya acrylic and tooth picks. The spare tires should be here soon to test on. The Sand Scorcher kit went from Kadoma, Osaka Japan, to Memphis TN, in one day today. Should be here soon.

A little more progress today. A trusty S148 servo mounted and also the antenna holder. A TBG body is also now on order.

Re: Demon motor thread - no others please
One new addition. Interesting that a red label says gold on it .
. .
I decided a Demon was the right motor for this buggy. I think it belongs in there.

Re: Bored? Come To The Chit / Chat Thread
Just a little rant I needed to get off my chest, about the epitome of the luck I have been having lately. I have this little project Volvo I have been playing with lately (I know, I know, but I have plans for it :D ), so this weekend was motor mounts. It has a vibration under acceleration, and it ha...

Re: Bored? Come To The Chit / Chat Thread
Just a little rant I needed to get off my chest, about the epitome of the luck I have been having lately. Sounds a lot like my usual endeavors. I need to change the oil in the truck. Back truck out of garage, but to get to my tools I have to clean off the bench, but before I can clean the bench, I'...

Re: So what did you get in the post today ???
The seller made me an offer I couldn't refuse on this XL-2. It needed the rx wires connector de-sketchified, but afterward turned out to be a decent little unit. The only rear issue is that the neutral adjuster is missing the top part for turning with a screw driver. I have it zeroed now, but might ...

Re: 1/10 Scale On-Road - Chassis Options in 2024
Finished painting the #2 Bus body. http://i.imgur.com/ko0PP5s.jpg https://i.imgur.com/MSFkVDR.jpg https://i.imgur.com/8eDEjm3.jpg https://i.imgur.com/wpu00O7.jpg Came out better than #1, no mask blow by this time. Was going to get the 3Racing Sakura 3D M kit, but realized that the Tamiya VW Bus body...

Re: Super Clod build with a few mods
Got the paint good enough to put stickers over. Finally done. Take a pic, go run it, flip it, and scuff it up!
. .
Really, I should have left it all white plastic. It will have plenty of white scrapes soon enough.
The rear steer definitely addes to the maneuverability.

Re: NRC-24 1/24scale RC10 replica
Better late than never. Finally got to run through a pack with this car. https://youtu.be/iX6fidecUCE iX6fidecUCE It handles Carpet pretty well, didn't get to test any jumps but it should handle small ones fine. This thing is pretty fast for it's size and was driving pretty well against a few MiniZ ...

Re: 1994 Yokomo YZ-10 Box Stock Restoration
I think the chances of coming across that Ko Propo servo are pretty slim but it was the only part that was really holding this project up, so I threw in a placeholder to wrap things up. Eleven years after starting this project, it is hard to believe I am finally in the home stretch….did some work th...

Re: RC Top Faux CAT 10
I also need to decide which gearbox is going in. I kind of think the new Factory Works / JC Racing hybrid gearbox would be the right setup, but have to think about it a little more. For now it's at a stopping point. . 1000010425.jpg . 1000010424.jpg . 1000010422.jpg . 1000010427.jpg . 1000010428.jpg

Re: Tamiya Sand Scorcher - 2010 Reissue
Was supposed to get the missing spacers on Saturday, they never arrived, so they will be here tomorrow and I can move on to the next step, and find out if I am missing anything else. Finished the tire writing. https://i.imgur.com/u7Hh4iW.jpg The toothpick is the magic for removing the mistakes, than...

Finally found a Triumph
Been looking for last couple of years and grabbed this from Japan. No one really rates these but ive always has a soft spot for them from the old Hobby City days in Auckland, This one needs CVD's and the battery clips etc, but not in bad nick. The double belt gearbox is supposed to be pretty ineffic...

Re: RC Top Faux CAT 10
I have a nice 6 gear that has needed a home for a while. This chassis feels like the right one for it.
I didn't realize the AYK Buffalo had laydown rear shocks like this. I think I need to update the name to the Buff CAT
