There's been some recent discussions here lately about eBay's poor practices, and alternatives. I received an email through the boards contact form inquiring about creating an account just to use the B/S/T section. I routinely get these types of...

I had a Ti Modified 7x2 hanging on my wall for 15 years. 2x I installed it into new cars and both times the cars were so incredibly fast that they rolled and tumbled. One broke.
So the motor was just too powerful. I just kept shelving it. I...
A while back I found a cool thread www.rc10talk.com/viewtopic.php?t=239 started by Scr8p that linked to a timeline Novak had on their website. With Novak updates ending the timeline in 2009, their eventual closure, and wayback links as the only...

as of late, there has been a bunch of the same kind of threads being started. guy digs out his old r/c from his parent's attic or basement and now he wants to get it going again with modern electronics. i know for me, i get tired of answering the...

Thank you for all the info and taking the time to explain it to me Joseph. I'm not 100% set on having him use the vintage one, but I have several, probably 6-8 rollers I got over the years when I saw a good deal. I have lots of back up parts as...
Futaba used to offer these two spec lists for their older discontinued receivers and servos. Now they're only available through the Internet Archives site. That's a bit of a pain. So I decided to edit them a bit, and post them here for easier...

I see that R142JE is called out in the manual. Somehow I muat have gotten confused about the 152 superseding the 142. Thanks for the measurements.
20 does sound like a good starting point. Just making sure 23 isn't more common.
So what models from the gallery section are your favorites? Post as often as you like. Crediting the builder would be nice, but leaving it as an I Spy type post is cool too. This one will always be in my top 3 all time. Perfection... IMHO ...

All of them are beautiful. But LoboNYC's DS Pantera is just... jaw dropping.
After receiving a few requests for account closures, it's something I feel needs to be addressed.
Closing your account is not an option. If you no longer have a use for RC10Talk such as leaving the hobby for instance, you say your goodbyes if you...
Here are the pictures I shot of Gene Husting's RC Museum that's in his home:

I actually acquired Gene's RC12i from Curtis last year. It was not his personal race car but his promotional/marketing car. It is on display at Hobby Action Raceway in Chandler, AZ.
I’ve always been fascinated with R/C cars. I recall having a few low end ones that went forwards and backwards and only turned in reverse. One year for Christmas I got a Shinsei Dust Runner ATC 250 three wheeler. It was digital proportional and was...
It's simple, do not start a thread asking what your item is worth. We are not Antique R/C Car Road Show here to appraise your goods. The answer to What is this worth? is We don't know. Another answer is Whatever someone is willing to pay for it. Do...

Modern America's idea of justice irritates me. The city of Oakland can't control the criminals, so they punish the victim
I know this forum has chat room, but it seems relatively not used by most. Maybe many don't know how a chat room works, or really just don't want to enter a chat room.
So, how about a thread for bored people sitting around who want to talk about RC...

I have an old set of Panda Danny Thompson nitro stadium racer decals still on the sheet. These are from the 90's. I'd like to get the body and decals applied, but I'd hate to use them at the same time. Does anyone know a place I can send the decal...

I had a similar need a while back and ended up getting help from the folks over at . They did a fantastic job creating a decal copy of a cherished poster I had from my grandfather featuring the Beatles. It was important for me to preserve that...
Under what circumstances do you position a gyro forward on the servo or rear near the trans on a 2wd vehicle? Or center for that matter. Does it matter?

I have just upgraded my B4 to a hobbywing Xr10 juststock esc and 13.5T motor. so far it seems really good for the money.
Hi folks, sorry if this is a noob question.
I have a B4 which I am now looking to upgrade to brushless. I used to race for about 15yrs but got out just when brushless was coming out, so I have very little knowledge of brushless setup.

Figured I'd show this off since I've not seen too many others. It came on my RC10GT (soon to be running?) And was painted a disgusting shade of neon yellow. Stripped it down with isopropyl alcohol, and I'm not really sure what to do with it now....

the buggsy and cyberbuggsy were a couple of my favorite bodys. dahms in general just had their own certain style and it was good.
So I get that many folks here have a good deal of space to devote to their collections.
Unfortunately I don't have a lot of space and it's starting to feel cramped.
Has anyone here had to reduce their collections? Was it overall better for you,...

I really need to reduce what I have as well. I came to the realization several years ago that I'm never going to finish the majority of projects I have. It's due to many factors such as a lack of time, money, desire, ambition, and health all play a...

Anyone have any great advice for painting headlights from the inside of lexan? I have seen a few tips here and there, but I am not in love with the results I am seeing. Just wondering if anyone has a tried and true method.

Where I live its hard to get a hold of the tamiya spray paint cans (or any lexan sprays).

Per Tamiya, the 100ml can is sized specifically to coat one complete model. I tend to use more when doing pan car bodies, but less when doing buggies.

Who here uses an ultrasonic cleaner? Has it been reliable? What size, what model, what features (heated, drain, etc), any dislikes? Do metal baskets leave any scars on nylon parts? Ever used it to clean a graphite or aluminum chassis?

Usually about 8-16 min depending on how skanky the parts are.
