I know. But I just picked up full set of white pavidas rims, and a cool set of 2.2 inch BBS style rims. I dont know who made them, but they will look great on a runner :). Its funny you know, I used to have boxes of those white and black pavidas...
This was given to me by a co-worker who bought it new but never built it...I kinda want to buid it but it is the standard kit...He didnt even know the name of it... It has the bushings and standard shocks. But all in all A great gift....Maybe I will...
Hi all, just wondering what wheels came with the yokomo works 93 as i've seen them with both pink and black?
Thanks,
Peter

Hi Pedro,
All the responses given are pretty much correct. From the 2 Works '93's that I own and from the versions I have seen, the correct rims are the 2.15 inch Black 4 hole versions with no ribs. If you look at the rims closely, they even have a...
i found some belt manufacturer, however I dont have an original YZ-10 front belt with me. Anyone can advise me the teeth number on it or the numbers stated on the belt? thank you very much....
Last post
Hi there are you wanting the belt for the original 89 yz10 or the later 94 model, i dont know if they are the same or not but my 94 model says 510 3m 3.5 so i'm guessing thats 170 tooth
3mm teeth by 3.5 wide but again thats for a 94 model.

Well,my Yokomo YZ-10 Pavidis arrived and she's a bit rougher that I hoped for.
The chassis has been drilled in two places to secure the undertray (between the cell cutouts),the front upright is broken (which I knew) ,the wing has been drilled...

Oh man-please do!
Love to see some photos of your '95 Works. :D
This is my freshly built Yokomo Works '92 4WD Offroad Buggy. Definately one of my favourite Yokomo's as it was quite advanced for it's time and incorporated a lot of modifications and options that Masami Hirosaka used on his World...

Pedro, can you get the details for the guys who cut belts? I'm interested in getting some cut.
Wow,I've only ever wanted one since 1989!
A pretty good car came up locally and I was able to snatch it,complete with radio for the equivalent of US$50. :D
It has a broken front arm,but I'm hoping it won't be too tough to find one...

The guy who shipped the car to me didn't put it down for Saturday delivery,so I have a YZ-10 free weekend. :(
Oh well, time to go to the track and test my X-60 out!
Ever since the first time I saw an 834B I knew I had to have one. I had seen them come and go on Ebay (that new in box one went for a pretty penny). So I finally commited to buying one. The auction said it is a 834B RPS SE. I don't know if that is...

yep that andy's body is for a different generation YZ-10. But I understand your mistake: I had 2 of those at one point and remember the header doesn't tell you which yok it's supposed to fit.
I never actually figured out which exact version it...
While thinking about what kind of paintjob to apply to my new mrlexan's repros shells, it came to my mind to collect all yokomo box art & pro driver's paint schemes. I'd be happy to get some more ideas, especially of pro drivers of the 870C and...
Not ready yet, but decided to put up a couple pics to show where it's heading:

I like the original shocks, but these asso shocks I got in a trade seemed equally good, if not better, AND the blue body goes well with the other blue...

Nice shocks - glad to see they're looking comfortable in their new home :-)
Managed to grab a Yokomo MX 4 off ebay U.S.A for not much money. It was described as being never run, which it certainly seems so. The shell is in mint condition as well as pretty much the rest of the car but I'll prob give it a rebiuld in the next...

Well I gave the MX 4 a rebuild and what struck me was how awkward the car was to tear down and rebuild, for example just taking the rear shocks off was horrible, and removing the drive train was equally awkward. I replaced all the rubbish phillips...
I painted 4 bodies this week: 1 for my lazer and 3 for my YZ-10s.
The first one in line was one of Mrlexan's repops for the 870C. Unfortunately it didn't go all that well: I played araound with the masking and cans to get transition effects, but,...

 nice paint jobs Erik, I like them! When do we meet again?
What yz10 is this?
Scored my first proper yokomo the other week (the other being a mr4 bc special).
Narrowed it down to a 94/95 edition i think!
Well happy with it apart from the top chassis plate looks wrong,is this off a different yz10?
cheers...

Looks like a correct topdeck for this car to me, though maybe aftermarket; not original.
Definitely good racing material; wil you run both the MR4 and YZ-10?
I was wondering if anyone could identify my Yokomo for me please.
I have had it since the early nineties. I just found about 100 tyres for it while i was taking these pics.
Thanks
Chris

Yes you were right about the shocks too. The original rears had one that leaked. I might try to fix that too.
Hi my fellow Yokomo addicts ! It took me nearly a year to take these pics, but at last i was finally able to build a new Works 93 and an MX-4. In addition to that i cleaned up my comepletely mint YZ-10 Pavidis i bought some time ago. Pics of the...

That paintscheme does a good thing to the body.
It is difficult body to get a goodlooking scheme on with the forward cab and the air inlets
On a recent trip up to Boondal James and myself managed to get our Dog Fighters up and going. While ive been transforming my 91 back into an 870c James has this very tasty version with lots of C/F and cool bits. Unfortunately I only have still...

Varma Im glad to see your old Yoke in action. James and i had a blast running these cars that day.
Ian the rear bulkhead was like that when i received it. looks as though someone got a little inventive with a drill.
Finally, figured out how to use my wife's mega super technical camera. Here are some pics of my recently aqquired YZ10. I have another one I've owned for years but it is now parts for this restore.

Which shock towers came with that YMP kit? I see yours both have the molded rear tower, but one has a molded front tower and the other not. And which were the standard shocks:...

Glad to see another swell car taken out and run in anger. Ive run mine and its a weapon! Lately Ive been debating which of my two vintage 4WD racers are the better car. The Dogfighter or the Procat???
Wonder if any one can help, I have just purchased a mint 870c and also got 2 other chassis with it. Looks like another 870/YZ10 carbon chassis and I am not sure what the other is? It seems to be a shorter wheelbase and is all carbon as...

Finally got all the parts for my Works 91 slipper clutch but I have no idea on how to set it. At the moment I seem to have it either too tight or so slack that it is slipping too much. Any one got any experience of setting one correctly? I...

oopsmy bad: there is no double slipper for the yokomo, I somehow forgot thet title of the threat and was talking of an rc10
Got these today. The infamous fine pitch belts I'd imagine. Are these rare? Ive not come across these before. Cheers-Jason.

Eric I dont have an A&L tranny so I dont know how i may compare the two pitches. These belts have a very similar pitch to the Schumacher CAT's and Procats etc...These definately arent the 870c pitch.... :(
....put some old skool Yoke bits in a jar of nitro fuel for an hour to remove the paint off, then forget about them......
These were a set of 870C bulkheads - after 8 days in nitro they came out like rubber - floppy & bendy! Most annoying of all...

I used a tap to pre-thread the screw holes. This helps a bit for stress sensitive material; prevents the screw from pushing the material aside and cause stress already in the asssembly.
You could try a trick Craig Drescher used on the later YZ-10....
Anyone recognise these towers? They look roughly like the Pavidis WCS towers & brace but are different in the detail:
I'm guessing they're from the last version of the YZ-10, about 1997? Looks like the front shocks would use longer shafts than...

I have a nip of that front tower in fiberglass, not dyed black of course
I have no reference to compare for thickness, but it looks pretty firm and the part nr is:...
I would like to figure out what parts were used to create this slipper unit. It looks like it is using a bigger slipper patch than the original mx-4, maybe double? The cornered patch looks familiar: something contemporary...anyone recognizes this?
Three of my recently completed/almost completed YZ10 projects. Included are a YZ10 '94, a '95 Team, and a Pavidis Edition. Two have Jay's awesome repro shells, the clear shell is an original, un-painted Pavidis edition shell. These are three of my...

Very nice cars :-)
What are the differences between the '94 and the '95 Team other than the carbon fibre shock towers? I'm still not too familiar with the YZ-10 family. Was the '95 ever sold in Europe?
