Does anyone know if the RC200 ever came with RC300 wheels & radio plate as part of a rolling change?
Okay so I think I found the answer to this question, and the rolling change was actually the RC150.

When i was running in the 1991 Radio Race Car Series in the UK, there was a guy who ran the then fairly unheard of TOMY Intruder, the guy being called Matt Hodgson. Matthew was a great adversary of mine and we had many close races that season. I was...

Tomy went all in with the Intruder in 1990, and came up with a car which was equal to anything else on the market at that time. I can speak from personal experience having seen Matt Hodgson run his Intruder throughout the 1991 season in the UK. It...
So I have finally gotten around to rebuilding my first hobby grade RC car. I started searching for a rebuild candidate about a year ago, and couldn't find any at the time. Then I missed out on a pretty good deal on a pair of them. Then it just...

Lol!

I think there are some 235 mm body's being made still.
Definitely worth finishing!
LurkingCAT gave me this car for donating to the website a few weeks ago and I've decided to do some work to it recently. Not sure what compelled me to get this car, but it's nearly as old as me. I do intend on driving this car, lightly, at least a...

Didn't think about it when I sent the car, but I actually have a new Coyote saver in black. Same tree as the grey silvertriple posted above. A little donation to RC10talk and I'll send it your way if interested.
Some time ago I came across an Ebay listing for an old Hyperdrive car. The seller mentioned it was an old National record holder in its day. I was interested but let it pass and moved on. The listing was removed so I figured it sold long ago. Then a...

Thanks for including the failed steps , it really shows what's really involved in doing a project like this , must have been a hard decision to cut...
Just started going over it, pretty neat. Came from an ex-Jomac team driver. Features factory drilled wheels, graphite diff axle, lightweight spur gear, Novak Bantam Midget servos with factory black cases, 1200SC batteries (still good), Parma flat...

I don't exactly know what it is, must be the elegant simplicity. A bit of flexy plank with electrics and wheels, fine tuned to be a slot car with steering... and every manufacturer (and builder) put their own...
I purchased this roller from a guy that I horse-trade with semi regularly in regards to RC cars. He B/S/Ts in all RC, and he gives me a buzz when he gets vintage stuff. These are great guys to have on your side! From a couple of cars I had gotten...

This is stunning! I really love any quick-change cars from that era.
I did a search on Formula 1 R/C cars at the forum, but found nothing beside Tamiya and Kyosho.
So not disturbing these with offtopic postings, I thought it might be a good idea to start a new...
I had one of these new back in '91 Im not actually sure when they were released officially, I think it was 1990? correct me if I'm wrong.

Do you still need the rear battery strap hold down? Ed made and sent me a handful.
Yes. I actually plan to contact him about a few things. I need to get some measurements first (just need to do it).
After reading the Tomy read-ups by Tamiyadan I started wondering if anybody has some personal experience with the Academy Wyvern line-up; another model often claimed as a copy of the yokomo of back then

Here is another project underway. I think this is an old Hyper drive H10. I am not sure but I think it was their first 10th scale pan car. A fairly nice car looking past the goofy tires stuck on the rims. Guess they wanted an off roader. It has a...
Anyone with firsthand experience with a Hobby World (Jamara / HobbyLand / etc) Valiant II? It seems to have a few names, and sold through multiple distributors starting in 1993. Jamara in Europe, HobbyLand in US?
Seems to be a TRX-1 clone with an...

I made some new shocktowers as the epoxy ones broke and the alu ones bent. I used an old plate of natural colour epoxy in 3mm thickness. I also modified the design to have something stronger and with more usable tuning options. Hope you like it.
Been tinkering with this project for a few years and finally found a few parts that were crucial to the build to get me going , I tried to incorporate thee H10sc bottom chassis stiffener plates to form a top deck brace and wasn’t satisfied with how...

Sweet! Locating parts for these old cars is a lesson of patience. I wind up making my own though just to get me through the build. I enjoy your progress so far.....great job!
Thank you 🙏🏼
it’s all part of the process in this game Patience!...
I have an assortment of FX-10 chassis that I am looking to break down into builds. I knew my best chassis was pristine outside of some orange spots on it. Its like some spots of dried up Coke. I looked at some of the other chassis, and noticed this...

I've had good success peroxiding white Clodbuater wheels, I don't know what material they are made out of but it worked great.
I've also always wanted to give a vibratory polisher a try for old plastics.
Found this Ena 3D on eBay with a story that assembly had been started and never finished. I figured there had to be a reason but took the chance anyway. It arrived yesterday and I couldn’t help finishing it- everything was there

I have posted these up on a few FB pages over the last couple of days, but thought I would add them on here as there have been a few posts about Brimods over the recent years. One mentioned how hard it was to add the cap O-ring seal without it...

any chance you happen to know where to find parts for these?
Ralph @ wms rc shop seems to have the front knuckle(s) you need:
He is in Germany, so shipping will be a little $$$ and long, but he is a nice guy to deal with and prices are good.
I've been poking around the web and here to try and find a manual on this thing. Any body have a lead on where I might be able to find it? I have been trying to contact a guy (Danny something) That apparently at one point had made it...
