I don't have many vintage non RC10s but here's one. This is my Parma sport truck. I got it back in '88. I was 10-11, somewhere around there. It was my second kit rc vehicle. I didn't use it very much. Probably the biggest reason why the body is so...

I love the look of these. I can't even paint that good now.
rattlesnaker, If you get that thing running I would love to have a run against you with my Picco Genesis with 3 speed. Also the 3 speed was an option on the original 891 BMT
This is a very sorry looking 1/8th Nitro Hobby Products Texas Wild Baja from 1979(I believe?)!
I forgot that I'd found these parts until I got a message about them today so I am adding this to the Non-RC10 vintage RC section to spur me on...

Very nice :) I see it has longer chassis rails coming out the front so it must have been a porsche or a Volvo body , and there is a piece of alloy strip on yours that the servo arm is on that isn't on any of the others , happy days tho :) get it...
I know hyper-drive made pan-cars and that some of those used their belt- drive pinions and pulleys: with the moter pinion pointing over to the left wheel rather the usual=right wheel. I do believe however I only ever saw them do this on 1/10th...

I got the first parts in on friday; a car actually. After some inspection I don't think this will be the base for the belt-drive build though: it would require a very long pinion
Ok on to my next build and since i've had this for years it's only fair
The details : This is an HP nitro model from the 70's, it came in 3 guises 1:Porsche 930 2:Texas Wild Baja 3:Volvo 343. Since it seems you can no longer source parts for them...

Anybody heard of a Magnum 8 ? Think it is the red car in the pic, manual is in the other pic.
It looks 1/8 scale compared to the King Cab.
Got one coming never heard of it, haven't found anything on google.
Thanks for any info.
Mike

Magnum 8 was one of the first 1/8 electric cars. But not the first one.
I use to race an SP12 in the early 90s...and my biggest regret was getting rid of them (3-4 cars). At the time, I had no use for a 12 scale and I wanted to get into touring cars. I traded them for a yr4 and an express (the one with the black...

Last night, I polished up the aluminum parts (suspension mounts and radio plate stand offs). I also cut the front suspension giving the arms independent movement. The car's coming together pretty nicely. I mounted the rear suspension, but I still...
Last weekend I scored a 1/15 scale Tiger 1 made by Bandai at a model show:

So,I have this really cool old Bolink/A.R.T. Agitator XII,complete with the original body,in really good condition for it's age.
Apart from the rear wheels and tires.
I threw some 12L4 rims and tires on the front, but I can't find anything to bolt...

You do not have to buy new wheels. You can re mount those wheels with new tires. All you have to do is soak them in lacquer thinner. The glue will melt and the tires will swell up and come off like butter. To remount the tires all you need is some...
Just ordered one.
Lets see how good a £99 car can be!

You WILL destroy the idler gear. There's a few options for a stronger part. Just check the team c thread on rctech and you'll find where to get one.

Anyone know the story behind the wheel colors? I inherited quite a few yellow sets nip and one white set, which I see a car on this thread is displaying. I don't recall ever seeing a white set in the pictures bitd.
Hi all
Had an email with this unusual looking car in it.
Said it is a World Engines Mercury Xi 4, I've heard of World Engines, my wife's brother actually worked for them many years ago.
Were they an importer who slapped their label on other mfg's...
Any one here familiar with the Heng Long 1/16 tanks that are all over eBay? Seems like a good deal for the money. Well at least compared to the prices that a Tamiya tank is these days.

I have a few (King Tiger, Tiger, Pershing and PZR III) and I think they are a great value with a little modding and painting. You can get the odd dud, but parts are available from Mato Toys! If you go to RC Universe Forum, they have a section that...
Ok since I couldn't sell my FXT I decided to do some work to it. It's far from finished, but it's fun to beat around the yard and down the street. Here's my current (and growing) list of mods that I've done to the truck:

Well if anyone wants it it's in the BST area for sale as a parts lot...needs some parts but to would make a great beginner runner. I kind of needed some of the parts for later and I need the money from its sale.
Just picked up a corally pan car looks kinda like a sp10x from 1989 but the chassis is a good bit diffrent. I can't wait to get batteries for it and try it out.

I am now thinking of trading off /selling the Corally. All it does is sit on the shelf in its neon pink glory and not much else. I don't really have any where to run it or any one to race with.
Well, another weirdo 1/12th car, I've already stripped it, but here's the auction, and before disassembly pics. :

What I try to find out is how much different Leisure 1/12th cars had been sold and when exactly. I think the original Leisure 100 was in 1978 and the 100SS two years later. But I´m not sure if all of this is correct.
Just got this car at a rummage sale, it is pretty much new in the box with unopened parts bag I would like to know anything about it, maybe build it? The car part no, is #1008 It is called the Agitator 2.0 1/10 scale on-road race car thank you Gary...

Looks like mine should have a delta shock. Mine has been replaced with a Schumacher CAT front shock at some point in its life. Not sure how easy it's going to be to find an original :?
Does anyone have any information on this company or the cars they made? I've tried doing some research but finding info is far and few between. I am guessing this car is pretty obscure, or it could be the fact that is is from the 70's and it never...

I just trimmed it a bit in an angle to make it sit lower in the front.

I really like these corally touring cars - I have an old C4 (like semtex in my hands :) ) I used to ride (I´m the extra obstacle on the course) I felt it was a big improvement from my almost new SST :)
The 0.6module spur that came with the ultima pro is very tough and wears much less than the 32dp spurs, no matter how well you mesh them.
