This is a tribute to the great line of RC10 buggies produced since 1984-2009 (RC10 - RC10B4). This is a work in progress. It will take some time and help from fellow members, as we all learn new things about the different versions. So please be...

Did the Early 10s come with 4 Spring Cups, or Cups on the Rear, and Unsplit Perches on the Front? Would Unsplit Perches be correct for Edinger?
Last post
the edinger cars has solid spring cups. the early ones had larger diameter cups on the back.
if you search for early edinger , there's like 6 pages of topics. a lot of them will answer anything you would need to know about what's correct and what's...

Ok, are there any variations on the World's rear wheels?
I have seen them with a cut out pattern? surrounding the driveshaft hole (visible from the front of the wheel) and some without. Are the one's without this special design not real' World's...
I thought it could be cool to share this new project, well it's far away from a scoop, but the Tekin chassis conversion is way cool IMO, though not the best looking RC10 (the ugliest according to some people).
So I snagged 3 Tekin chassis...

How does the active bit work and what does it do? I can't see from the pictures./quote]
It looks like some variation of a watts link, but on an IRS.
I won this on E-bay a couple of weeks ago. Even though the seller claimed it had a stealth trans you could tell by the fuzzy pics that it didn't. I got it for a decent price so that didn't bother me. I would like some help identifying the body...
I just test ran my old RC10ce that I've been restoring over the last couple of weeks. I still have to find where I want to mount all of the electrics and tidy that up plus I need to drill the body and get it mounted but I couldn't resist running it...

I knew there was something funny about that Nose. Were the Graphite Chassis' never supposed to have a Nose Plate?
Sounds like something I might have come up with, considering something I have going right now.
I've finally got around to looking for a mid '80's RC10 buggy and have found one locally going at a good price.
Can someone date this sucker?
My economic forecast for 2009 looks bleak if I win this buggy:shock:

What were the tires that wer on the boxart of the Graphite RC10? Obviously a 2.0 with small pin knobbies. But who makes them and what were they called?
Thanks fellas
Last post
yup, the tq-76. those and the tq-20's are the kit tq-10 tires, and the tires on the car on the side of the rc10 graphite box. the rc10 graphite kit tires were the tq-71 and tq-21, and also what's on the cover boxart.
I haven't displayed any of my cars here in the Buggy Forum and this one is the most complete I have. By that I mean everything but the body and I have a number but haven't decided on which one to use and I probably am procrastinating because I love...
I was poking around the bowels of the internet and stumbled upon a very, very cool body for the RC10.
Behold-The Hot Bodies 'Stealth Bomber'!
Sexy,or what? Very futuristic, for the time.
Looks like my X-6 body.
I've poked around this site for awhile checkin out your awesome cars and resoration processes. You guys do amazing work! I finally signed up. I recently aquired a RC10 for a song and a dance. The car was in decent shape and 95% of it was...

I've seen some of the slash componants that are waterproof in some RC10ts (as well as many other models) along with alot of titanium and aluminum parts that keep it from rusting if that helps. They were in other forums out there that I usually don't...
Hey guys, this one has been completed for months. You may have seen pics already at tamiyaclub. Early in the year I emptied a hobby shop in the central valley of most of its RC10 parts. The results are this car and another one that's still in it's...

I thought it was time my new built CE got some color so I grabbed this from racer8838 on ebay, just came today and the body looks sweet that guy does a great job.
hi guys racer88 is offering some painted bodies on ebay right now. i'm wondering if the rough rider
body he sells is the same as the funco body that sits on the rc10 (they could be repros by mr.lexan :?: ). is there a difference between the original...

It's not obvious on the picture you posted Al, but to fit that Funco body on a tub chassis you would need to trim the rear part of the side pods, which also means you can move the body forward in order to eliminate the front gap...
I have myself a couple of sets of what I think are B3 teflon coated shocks. I have ordered some seal rebuild kits and when I stripped the shocks down I found most of the shafts to be bent. I was hoping I might track down some of the 'gold' stronger...

For the factory team shafts, the fronts are .71 #6418 and rears are 1.02 #6417. I usually get these from towerhobbies.com.
This is my told that it was it was a RC10 Championship Edition but I'm not sure. It was raced dirt oval, but I am going to put the buggy parts back on and race it.

Hi all, new to this forum. Been racing on and off since early 80's, and I just picked up a rough gold pan because it was cheap, and I had a itch to get some of my old vintage cars I used to have. I had a new 6000 kit when it first came out, and many...
a few years ago..........I saw a nicely modified Ultima A&L version in a Japanese website........... which got rear trailing arms.........together with a belt-driven gear box..........really want to build one up myself ......... :)

That rough chassis already has character, mixing well-chosen options of different brands, kind of like an original hot-mod. I can't help but liking the rat-style rod's and custom cars. A fine example:
Got all this swag for 20 bucks! I don't know what some of it is but it is cool! Anyone recognize the silver shocks? Is that a stealth tranny? I pretty much can tell all the original RC10 stuff which was what I was mainly after. Battery died. I can...

Just an opinion and hope to not get splatted by the forces but I'd forget about the aluminum parts if its something you want to really run hard. Aluminum looks great but it makes for an expensive 'whoops' when you hit something wrong. Aluminum bends...

The good new. I have found some one willing to reproduce the original white nylon parts. White suspension arms cost about $5 a pop but they would be undrilled. Lunsford Racing now have in stock turn buckles and screws for most RC10s.
