Hey guys, I just bought an RC10T. The truck is in ok condition and is definately going to need some work done to it. The front arms are from something other than an RC10T and are crazy wide. The toe in and out cannot be adjusted because the rods are...

Hi,
I've been following your thread. I just got a beater RC10T from eBay and am in the process of stripping down, cleaning, etc.
How much would you charge me to make a set of the tranny spacers? THey are too cool!
Just wondering if anyone knows if the RC10T shocks are still being sold.. the gold ones.. I have found all but one rear shock...go figure.. not sure if my best bet would be to look on ebay or not.

The gold ones are no longer in production, so ebay is probably your best bet. Or, just hang out around here long enough and you will probably be able to make a deal with someone.
I'm new here but kind of an old timer when it comes to RC. I currently own 3 RC10T's that I would love to update w/ newer electronics. All 3 trucks have RPM 2.65 Transmissions, T3 slippers, full ball-bearings, and several other upgrades. These are...

I run all my old Novak, Tekin and Futaba esc's with 7.4 volt 2 cell lipo packs. No problem! Just remember when you notice a power drop, STOP the car! You do not want to get below 6 volts on a 7.4v lipo!
I wanted to know if anyone has tips for putting foam donuts on the stock 3-piece 10T wheels? Can you simply build up layers of foam to fill in the gap between the two halves, then put the donut over this foam?
Last post
if you could find the right size of foam, i think you could pull it off. you should try it on some wheels that you don't want. practice makes perfect. you might have to get creative with a tire lathe and a dremel.
For those of you that remembr my blue RC10T2 that I built and powdercoated last year I finally painted a body for it, For those of you that haven't seen it enjoy.

OK, that's two more T2's in the world with painted bodies. Here's mine.
I tried Jconcepts J82 wheels on my T2 with a few shims, shock spacers. and a trick on rear shock mounts
not bad to me :D

I got the CVD bones from my friend. but he didn't know where it was from. it could be from T4 or GT2
those bones are 4mm longer than T2 CVD bones.
we need someone who has T2 and T4 both :D

T4 front C hubs and...
I just received this 10T today and I have to say that it has impressed me. From the ESC to the rear shock tower, it's definitely a beast. In my neck of the woods this truck would have been the Bomb Diggity back in the day. I got a couple photo's of...

Hello all! I recently acquired a RPM chassis and can't decide how to proceed with her build. Do I go all RPM? What color arms? Is there any other all RPM RC10's? If so PLEASE share, I'd like to see them. If not, I would really like to get some ideas...

can anyone give me the specs on the original 10t, i.e. wheelbase and width. After seeing the sc10t build on here I was wondering what it would take to get the 10t up to current roar specs for the sct class

Thanks for that reply. How about some pics of your SC10T SteveK. I would love to see it. Please do post a few.
I snapped a few pics of my nearly complete 10T restore and felt like sharing. Well, not so much a restore than a rebuild of what it use to be. Here she is:

RPM front body mounts
RPM front A arms
RPM rear A arms
RPM rear hub carriers

I want to say it's a Lycra or Spandex type of cloth. Very thin, smooth and stretchy. My wife sews also and she is going to see if she can pick up some of the same stuff and make a few sets for my other trucks. My T3 and other T2 are in need of them,...
I see that robinson racing has a metal spur gear that looks like it would bolt onto a stealth trans sine I thought that is what was in a rc10 gt nitro and it is 32 pitch I know but all metal and I would think much tougher than the 48 pitch plastic...
Last post
might not be a bad idea to try, but keep in mind it will take alot more energy to both spin and stop that metal spur gear.
i tried one on a gt year and years ago, and it ended up being worse than a plastic gear since it ate up pinions like crazy.
Hi all,I have been running my 10t a fair bit lately and am having trouble finding the correct gearing for my CO27 stock motor.Im running a 90 tooth spur, this is the biggest I can find and a 16 tooth pinion and it is getting way too hot.Is anyone...
Last post
You're going to have to go to a smaller pinion. The original Stealth gear ratio wasn't really truck+stock motor friendly. If you can, pick up a MIP Change Box or the RPM conversion. They both raise the internal ratio to where you can use reasonably...
stealth trans in a rc10T. truck rolls at slow throttle, but when you pull trigger all the , the spur gear just spins and the truck is barely moving. ive tightened the nut on the spur ,still doesnt do any thing. usind 12 tooth pinion and a 52 tooth...

The most important thing with diff rebuilds is to make sure there is little to no slip. If the diff is slipping it will generate heat and ultimately melt your diff centre which is made of plastic. I'd rather run a diff thats a little more tighter...
almost done converting my rc10t to a short course truck. i made an aluminum chassis from scratch, a little thicker than stock, and as long as an sc10. its a little heavier but that should work out good my sc10 seems too light anyways. im planning on...

Awesome work, Its good to see people with skill sets putting them to good use! Besides its a good way to recycle your old R/C Stuff. Im doing a SC10T3 conversion and might do a 10Gt as well. We might start a conversion open class!

Looks like this will be an interesting thread to watch. Too bad I didn't catch it earlier as I have a couple sets of those rear tires.
I started out with just a chassis. Then I bought 3 different parts lots, and took all the best parts and built an RC10 nitro car.
It's not finished yet, but here it is so far. I just need to add electrics, fuel lines, fix the brake, get rear tires,...

Somehow I accidently clicked the BIN button on this truck. Needs a gear cover and body.

I think I'm correct in that the T2 and GT share a common stock bellcrank and the unit in the pix (I don't know the maker) is MEANT for the 2nd gen GT which does not use a separate nose plate. The switch is a matter of convenience.
Can anyone tell me how to properly mount the mip 3013 ball bearing steering kit on my 10t, i.e. what screws do I need and which set of holes should they go in? or better yet does someone have a scan of the instructions?
Thanks,
mike

That MIP steering came with it's own hardware, if you don't have it, your in trouble
That is, unless you have a hand lathe...

when your missing mip posts, you can make them with an old wing tube, a file, and a drill...

Ok here are some shots without the body. I originaly wanted to make it a road car so I made a new front end. It didn't steer to well but I only drove it once. The rear shocks are from some tamiya not sure which one. I made the rear wheel discs at...

Got a balck tub for VONATS and was pondering what to do about the 1/4 axles on the CVDs it came with. I had an extra set of Evader Nitro ST CVDs laying around and low and behold....the DTX axles fit perfectly into the AE/MIP bones. I opted for...

Here's a few pictures of my RC10T, it's the same truck I ran at last year's VONATs, but this time around, it's sporting the quick change conversion kit, along with JC Rulux wheels.

sc10 does NOT use hex wheels. they are the same as the t4. if you have 3/16 axles you are good to go. and the front wheels have the exact bearings as the front of a 10t
So on my latest acquisition, I scored a Proline Truck conversion.
In going through all the parts, Im missing one of the axles. I did get some similar axles from a friend, but they aren't drilled for a king pin. (If you notice in the following pic,...
