Has anyone found a set of captured hinge pins that fit the outer hings pins on an RC10? Even with e-clips, one of mine fell off 3 times. I need a more permanent solution.
Last post
Yeh, they came up when searching google. I want a solution that does NOT include C clips.
There was such solution in the second thread. It also reduces some play:
For a runner I would use a set screw in the mount. Grind a bit of the hinge pin...
I picked up a fairly clean original A stamp RC10 from eBay. Cosmetically the car was pristine. It wasn't until I opened up the 6 gears trans that I realised that it wasn't all that pristine. When I removed the spur, noticed the car had 1 diff ring...

Both bushings are identical: ID x OD x HT - .125(1/8 ) x .2(13/64 ) x .125(1/8 ) The originals are teflon(PTFE) the ReRe are something else.
So now that I got the cool graphite RC10 Id like to try to protect the chassis a little. Is there some type of CLEAR film I can put on it. It seems to get all kinds of scapes in it :?

Following this post has caused me to take a close look at the chassis tubs of my cars. On at lease one, not only has it become scratched, polished, etc., but the aluminum is actually worn thin back near the motor. At this rate, it will certainly...
Been thinking about this for a while, and finally spent some time in Pro/E designing them up. First is front arm mounts that will change the kickup from 30 degrees to 25 degrees (they also tilt the shock tower 5 degrees forward so it remains...

You're very welcome. This is my very first Shapeways order. :D
First post and an absolute newbie. Always wanted an RC10 as a kid but could not afford one. Got a vintage one from a person who restores them. However, the tires being 20+ years of age started tearing up after several runs. What tires do you use on...

Thanks for the input jwscab and NomadRacer. I will look into them. :)
Just picked my first RC10 And I’m setting up the brushed motor. I hope this is the right place to ask for help. What are these two resister like fittings for? Do I need them? If I do where do I put them? 30 minutes watching YouTube videos, went to a...
I was checking out the RPM website and I noticed that they had posted that the #70442 front arms do not fit the team car and yet I have several nip sets that has “team car addition “ printed on the header card. I have not opened the packages yet but...
can someone please kindly link the exact, right product that works well to dye old AE parts in black ? Ideally a straight link to the manufacturer's product, but anything ebay works, as long as they don't take $29.99 to ship to Europe like...

I have considered doing a flou pink or green themed build and another obstacle is finding all the bright white rpm parts to dye. AE parts can be brightened then dyed but white RPM parts always seemed like the best base for dying flou colors. It...
I've had these laying around for a while and decided to use them on a project. I don't recall ever seeing this type before. Figured you guys might know.
Putting an old RC10 B3 back together for my kids to run and looking for some wheels. Have read a bunch of forums and am having real trouble locating a place to purchase new rims for this older buggy. Does anyone on here know where I can purchase a...

kyosho had some wheels that fit too but can't find the thread about it. Can't remember if they were direct fit or needed to use hex drive in the rear...also too lazy to go downstairs and dig for them to find out
I have a Cadillac RC10 stamped A, I used to race it as a kid and am trying to get it going again. I have a couple broken parts in the steering, mainly the bellcrank, that I am having trouble finding replacements. I also would like to look at...
Ok so the year is 1991, and you are racing the same gold pan you have had for years. You already drilled your chassis and swapped in a stealth trans, you put the long arms up front and all those goodies. Good motor, novak electronics.....what would...
What current options do I have for white ball cups ?
-I have the RPM set, and while I like RPM products and the company in general, the cups are pretty chunky and overkill for the kind of light running I do with my semi-shelfer type of builds.
-I...

Anyone knowing what companies made ceramic diff rings for RC10L pan car.
I came across one:
BRP.
More suggestions please

I've polished rings since long before there was the interwebz ;)
I have to admit i have not raced ball diffs in onroad for quite a while now, as my main class is EP TC and thank god we have gear diffs now and cars that are designed around them ;)...
I am currently restoring some Gold Tubs, A, B and C stamps. I don't have an AB stamp so of course I need one :)
Question, how rare are they?
Last post
Colors changed every batch of ano they did, so it’s hard to use that as a certainty
The AB stamp happens like this. Associated had a bunch of A stamp chassis blanks stacked up. The Stealth trans came out so they drilled them for a stealth and they...
I know its been lifted before, but this is starting to get ridiculous.
Just got a delivery today. Talk about army-green!

Perhaps fastner express has supplied AE with blue 8-32 screws. The blue factory team screws I had where exactly the same as the green re re screws that came with the worlds car, just in blue. These are terrible quality the heads will sheer off on...
First, I have to appolgize because I'm sure this question has been asked and answered before. However, I searched shock o-ring on this forum and wasn't able to answer all of my questions amoung the three or four pages of posts.

I'll vouch for those Towers too... Tons of cars had them at the VONATS this year. I really like them. :)

I recently stripped apart an old stealth out of my junk box and it had a really nice ti top shaft in it! I was curious who made them back in the day, and if they are still available? It came out of a trans that was in an old dirt oval car so maybe...

the plastic idler with metal top gear and diff gear would be the most efficient, strongest and maintanence free. if you decide for all metal you need some good lubrication that stays on the gears.
I recently picked up a MIP SP1 tranny with a special Ball Raced Diff (BR-100).
After searching everywhere, I can't seem to locate a manual for the Ball Raced Diff. I have the parts diagram, but no instructions - in particular I am trying to find...

Agree on the standard lubrication for ball diffs - silicone grease on diff and molybdenum grease for the thrust bearing. I've seen three versions of the idler gear - steel, brass and delrin. In my opinion the brass and delrin may run dry (of course...
I got these from a chop shop on eBay for a couple of dollars. He was parting out re-re Worlds Cars.
Is there anything I can do to make them white ? I'm familiar with peroxide bath to freshen up old parts. Will that help brand new green stuff though...

I hate to hear that because I sure didn't want to have to dye them black.
What did you end up trying? In the same boat with some rather green bellcranks and ballcups...
I wound up installing them. Once installed, the greeness isn't as...
Got this front shock tower in a parts lot. I am about 50/50 that it is a buggy front tower, but to be used with truck front shocks (instead of using a whole truck front end). The bulkhead mount holes match up perfect with a buggy tower. Anyone know...

I'd like to find out how much shorter the T4 inline axle (7459) is compared to the gt wide axle (7222), and also how much longer the t4 axle is compared to the standard rc10/10t/ds axle (6220). Any help would be appreciated.

The color of the vintage 8/32 screws varied widely from greenish to goldish. The classic rere came with screws that are very greenish. Been my experience that snap easily.
Correct me if I am wrong, but didn't the early Edinger kits come with a drive gear pivot that was held in with a clip instead of a nut? I have this one in my collection and I am pretty sure that is it. Check out the pics.

yes, correct, can see some clear pictures in this thread:
Ah yes, that is where I remember seeing now. It's been awhile. Thanks. I have been going through my stuff and forgot all about it.
RC10 nose plate... let me ask this. Has anyone moved the front bulkhead/shock tower pieces forward more?

couldnt you just adjust ride height to compensate for the ride height change?
also if any one has done this what pros and cons did you see? i would think it would make the car a tad more stable in the rough and better approach angle on jumps.
Who has done this swap? I can find complete kits on Associated's website, but not the individual shafts. Closest thing I found is a .80 shaft, pn. 9723 for B4, B44.

But the b44 with those shocks also ran a different lower spring retainer also.
