I've ordered and recieved my inline steering block and the alu inline but it doesn't seems to fit well. The hole on the steering block are too narrow for the axles and alittle short for the king pin to go through. Any advise experts?

I'll try to take a picture of the few I have and will let you decide the ones you want, then I'll shoot you a price for them. If I haven't done it by next Monday, please remind me. I'm quite busy these days
i was just wondering what year the sidewinder bodies were introduced? just wondering as i have 3 restos going on at present and was wondering which to put it on.
thanks, spencer.
My question today is can I fit narrow arms as seen on Asso-man's amazing CC chassis,
To either of my tub cars (I can handle a little drilling and chassis cutting)

Wow, thanks, yes I believe I would need the template if you can find time to scan and email it to me, though there is absolutely no rush as I only won these items last night!
Has anyone tried mounting a body to the A&L RC10 conversion? The A&L shock tower is significantly taller than the stock one. I'm wondering if there is a specific body that works with this or if a Viper/Protech I or II can be used. Maybe A&L bodies...

Sweet rides!
That chassis is starting to show up on ebay... I think I'll pick one up.
i found a new in bag MIP tranny part at a hobby store today, i believe it is for a rc10 tranny since it was in a box with a ton of old NIP 6 gear tranny parts, but it is definetly not part of a 6 gear tranny.
it was $16 i think, it is a White...

is this possible to successfully mount a rc10gt bulkhead onto a rc10 somehow and make it work alright?

ok so after testing, this is a official not even close lo, holes on the bottom were close, but not enough, the brace doesnt line up vertically with the tranny, and the braces holes arent too close either lol
Does everyone have a copy of their manuals? It seems there have been a lot of questions being asked lately that might answer themselves by having a look at the book, almost all the old manuals are available for free download right from Associated:...

How thick is the alu tub?
I've grinded stuff before and it works really well: because of the larger diameter than drill bits etc...
I am working on a project runner made of used and new parts...
The nose plate was damaged with the threads all stripped so the front plate does not hold without using a nut to hold the screws that go through the servo saver (see #1 on the picture)....

That's clever  I'll try that... I may need longer screws but that may work...
I've seen on ebay and here that some nose plates seems to be wider than all the ones I own. Why is that? what model used the wide plate? was that used with the short front arms only?
Can someone post a comparative picture? Thanks

i have no idea how the hot trick arms mount either. i've tried them both ways, and neither seemed like it was the way it should be.
How many different desing were made? I am building a gold tub runner out of used and new parts and after installing the rear shocks I realized that the tower is kinda too much forward. The shocks are at an angle (leaning forward) and not straight...

There's an interesting thread. I had no idea there were that many versions. Based on the little I understand about suspension designs, I've been wondering what you'd use the far outer holes for on the 9-hole bulkhead. That'd be some severe camber...
What does everyone use for vintage builds?
Is there any difference between the currently available hardware and bearings versus the stuff from 20 years ago?

I use new stuff. I'm not really a stickler for period correctness. Who's gonna know if you use ceramic bearings in your 6 gear anyways? Whatever keeps the cars together is what I use.
I just got back from vacation and came across some sweet finds at a hobby shop. One of the things were some Hamman Gruman VLT damper bodies. I searched the forum and found that hoopty has a set and he called them crappy and Scr8p has a set but...

yep, they look sweet, I used a set on my RPM Ultra molded chassis, mine are Losi's... I just found that tightening the shock clamps just a little bit too much slightly hampers the travel of the piston because of the soft plastic, anyway, they look...
Hello, after a few months away from home I get back into RC again

As it sits, the top of the tub rides along the bottom of the red tape, hence the tape. With a shorter rear tower, you could lower the body slightly but it will be limited and flared out by the chassis. I might even add a lexan skirt to...
My recently rebuilt rc-10 has a saggy nose. :(
I have silver springs on it, and even with some pre-load the front bottoms out easily over small bumps.
The only springs I have seen/owned for the short shocks are silver and gold.

I think this is a standard bulkhead and I can still buy these from Tower, am I correct because I'm going to chop it up for my A&L car :?:

well, shortening the wheelbase would help the car turn better. it would also help off corner traction, since there would be more weight transfered on the rear of the car. or, i could be talking out of my you know what. so, if anyone has anything to...

iiii, correction: it's not just about turning the endbell 180°: that actually is identical to swapping the leads really.
