With the amount of these that are being purchased, there will be a flood of build threads coming. We don't want the new car to bury the o.g. new builds, replicas, restorations, etc., that already take place in our buggy forum. So the best thing to...
What are you guys doing to assemble the shock caps to the body with the O-rings. The ones that I have seem to be a little large and are just spit out of the side when twisting the cap down. I have seen shocks in the past that instead have Teflon...

Guys - Thanks for the help.
We were down in Hallett Oklahoma running the Porsche so I was working on these in the motel room and had left the instruction manual at home.
I bought new O-rings in case I nicked the one trying to install them in the...

Hi guys, I have finally bought a new kit from my local hobby shop today. I have started the build process and immediately ran into a problem with the stealth tranny. The V2 slipper pads are rubbing against the motor plate when tightened down even a...

the B4 top shaft (which is what you have) has been known to have problems with where they machine the flats. Seems there is quite a variation. There are two options.
first, call associated and let them know, this is well known and they should be...
I know... if you've seen one you've seen them all.
I didn't stray too much from the manual. I did put a stack of spacers in the rear shocks, and I should have gone a little more. Installed bearings. I also drilled the lower set of shock...

Adding to that, buy dirty ones. Clean with soap and water first. Some choppers clean with fairly aggressive solvents and could be contributing to the breakage. A good boil wouldn't hurt either
maybe some of you know me. It is some years ago, I had my last activities here on RC10talk.com. Many things was happen and now I am back on board with some of my RC10 projects.
First, I start with my latest built here. Enjoy!...
From this thread:
I am trying to duplicate the box art colors. Since pactra is no longer around I cannot get the two pactra colors below. Some online shops say they have the pactra colors but when you call, they don't really have it in stock....

I would think the Tamiya PS-30 Brilliant Blue would work as well as the PS-1 White. Not positive on the blue, but it looks very close.
HI!... Well i bought this one off Ebay and i picked it up on Saturday. Built the car the same day including the paint. I still have to paint the driver and install window netting. I accidentally stepped on the driver so i ordered 3 more. Just...

Looks awesome! Can't wait to build my re-release RC10.
First ever build....The couple I did with my uncle back in the 80's don't count. I might've contributed 2-3% n got on the brothers nerves on top of it.
Man, definitively was fun but caused a lil despair along the way.
I built after a couple...

Looks great! Nothing like finding extra parts that aren't extra !
with those short screws and no nuts, how is this supposed to stay in the car?
i ended up installing a houge from another car in my ce, but these would have looked very nice in there.
i suppose i could...

if using them on a graphite chassis, use the longer 7/8 8-32 screws, install the shanked on the chassis (like you would a houge or a&l bell crank with the nut down), slide on bell cranks and secure with some 8-32 nuts.
I put in a big order for spare parts @ Tower. I know some of you have placed orders elsewhere...maybe directly from AE? Have any of you received any of your parts?
Last post
Placed my order directly with AE Sunday night, got shipping info today, parts should arrive tomorrow. My package shipped in 1-4 days as they said.
i literally havent touched any of my rc10s or built one in years. it was the last vintage nats i went to, which was either 2009 or 2010... sadly i have forgotten ALOT about these little rigs. truth be told i never really knew alot about them to...

I like it. 8) Maybe the big white 10 on the roof? That would be kinda realistic in a baja 1000 way. Gotta give the helicopters something to identify the car by?
lol. ive had the 10 on the roof twice and have pulled it off. i think i posted a pic...
Has anyone picked up a spare gold chassis for the re-re? I saw them on Tower for 80 bucks but I'm wondering if they are stamped or marked somewhere so other buyers know they are not original? Thanks

Both the gold and black re-re chassis have holes for the Stealth.
First off, thanks to Joey for all his help in PM's. he really got me sorted out and in the right direction!
After 6 years out of the hobby after having two kids, the ReRe sparked my interest to get back into the hobby. I snagged a kit for retail...

Bumps is a 90 minute ride for me too. I have been looking for an indoor place closer but all I could find is Mushroom Bowl in Newtown Square which is 60 minutes away. Good thing is Chris puts on such a great show and keeps the facilities top notch...
Not going for the box art road.
Found a nice picture on the web of an old RC10. Sadly didn't get the history about it though. Going for something similar i think
Well, here it is. I've added bearings and the bellcrank steering. I'd like to add some vintage-looking turnbuckles. I painted it Pactra Firey Orange Metallic. It looks sorta boxart, but I wanted to make it stand out a little but still look vintage-y.
Hope this isn't a repost but there's new turnbuckle set for the RC10:
I hope they make a set that fits the wide arm RC10... RCPS style!

From what i've seen they changed just before the worlds car came out as a few people ran the ealier big nut type ones at the 93 worlds but the later style ones were run at the 93 worlds also :?
I'm through four steps and I had to give up for the night. The chassis anodizing is some odd brown color, not even close to a Stealth CE I just bought, and the coloring is uneven and blotchy. At least all the holes were countersunk, but of course...

I remember having to phinagle a lot with the original kit bitd. The guys at the hobby shop just brushed it off as that's normal, take your time, its a hobby. If it was perfect then there is not much Hobby in it. That's what we were told and that is...
I bought a re-re thru Tower. I convinced myself I wouldn't get one as it was on backorder , therefore bought one from a hobby shop, and a few days later the Tower re-re showed up! I built one, but what to do with the 'extra one. An active member on...

No, I like the color. What I hate is seeing it on everyone's rc10.
I wont bore you with the step by step pics of my build, as it is basically standard apart from replacing the bushings with bearings. Were I did go away from standard is by using a Viper body instead of the Protech. I also have a different rear wing...
Here is my contribution to the re-release of the RC10. Nothing too fancy, but I am taking some liberties on this build as I want to also race the buggy in some vintage races.
Slow going, but this is the start while I wait for some items to...
Well, it seems we have been finding errors in the RE-RE instruction manual since its release.
I think we should have a one stop place to log all the errors that have been popping up and the fix for them.
So first, we have Step 3

Ok, another question since my RC10 classic is my first 6 gear. Can anyone tell me how to properly install the bell crank steering? What do I do with the little plastic washers on the parts tree? I'm guessing the nylon screw is installed upside-down...

I wish they would do the old style with the nut on it those look the best.

Hello Aaron,
Sorry no release date yet, but it will be soon....
I got my rc 10 classic and i am trying to use 2.2 wheels on it. First i got the rpm rear a arms well what hinge pin do you have to use because the stock is to short. Also i got the rpm b4 rear hub the b44 cva what every one says to use but they seem...
I have an 84 Cadillac thats been run 1 time I was thinking of running my 21.5 in. Would I be better off using my old a-stamp car or should I crack into my new re-release car? I have another never run a-stamp 6-gear and never run stealth gear car and...

Just wanted to say thank-you to Curtis Husting, Cliff Lett, Gene Husting & Roger Curtis for my autographed RC10 Classic! It was my pleasure to have had the opportunity to work with such fantastic people on this re-release!
Thanks for including me!...
So I am reading through the Classic build threads, etc, in anticipation of starting one of my Classic's this weekend with my 10 year old daughter (her car actually).

Here is my re release build. I'd already done a Box art car restore so was looking for a different paint job for this one. Not an exact copy but close.
Has anyone gotten a set yet? Are they going to be a 2.2 wheel with a wide offset similar the the b3 wheels? Just curious if so i has plans for a set on my woin worlds graphite runner

That would be AWSOME! I could use the real rpm worlds arm mounts and still have 2.2 wheels
Hi all....,I'm just finishing off my re release. And I seem to be having trouble with the front shocks. As the wont compress fully when mounted on the car. Is this normal on the original front end ????
Also, and it has been touched upon on here....

I checked the shock by hand before I took it off, the Sharpie mark is right about 1/8 below the stock hole.
I have the 'jellybean' wheels & old school knockoffs available for 2 weeks in my forum, just FYI chaps. I'm wondering if other pieces , like a tranny case, might be wanted for these, or am I just stupid? (Trick question: These factors are not...
