Gearbox and steering bell cranks are probably the only original parts!

Ahh-man! Thats typical!

I must admit, my attention at the moment seems to be focused on other non-Losi projects at the moment which I guess why these items keep passing me by (I used to do a 'Losi XX' search everytime I logged in on ebay) Got to keep my eyes open a little more

...which has been reduced to £40 (plus postage)

I am really tempted, but are there any parts for the XX that are just impossible to get?? don't want to get 90% of the parts together to build one then find out I have no chance of getting something. I am really picky with my shelf builds, I would not be able to use second hand parts to finish a build off either which I know would be a good source of parts.

The front bulkhead used to be an issue but not anymore courtesy of Sabulatech...

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/NEW-Sabula-Tech-A1101-Black-XX-Front-Bulkhead-for-Losi-XX-and-XXT-/261521558742?pt=Radio_Control_Parts_Accessories&hash=item3ce3e64cd6

The 2.19:1 transmission case is a bit problematic but they are out there..... albeit slightly expensive. The original XX body seems to have disappeared but there are repro's available.

I built two XX's from 99% NIP parts and it cost me a small fortune  .......but it was/ is fun!

Here's the XX Graphite thread: http://www.rc10talk.com/viewtopic.php?f=27&t=33057

Also, when you've met the requirements and have been approved, you'll have access to the B/S/T section.

It always harder to do a build from new parts rather than from a previous runner, as LosiXXKid says, bulkheads and trans cases will be hardest to find. You might be lucky enough to find a runner that its good condition, but if your standards are high I doubt you'll find anything near-new condition.

There might be guys on here selling good condition XXs also, worth just looking around and hope that you are in the right place at the right time :-)

defiantly cheaper to wait and buy a NIB car for a small fortune than to build from NIP parts if you want a new build. I had a shelfer xx-kinwald on here for sale forever for $150 and no takers. finally gave it to a friend on here. They are around. When I was doing my boxart car. I couldnt find battery straps and wing buttons. When I did, combined I think I paid over $60 for these 2 things. But now with the right connections nothing is unabtainable
Sleeps with a night light on, not because he's scared of the dark but because the dark is scared of him...........stay thirsty my friends

OK, thanks for the info chaps, I'll do a bit of homework and see what's available - and I may just pick up a couple of those motor plates for keeps sake, I think they will be a good investment. Cheers.
