This chassis comes from the very 1st run of JR-X2's released to hobby shops and belongs to my lhs guy Bob whose been there since 1984, he tells me that as soon as they got them in stock he put a kit aside for himself. I was surprised at the course finish to the bottom of this chassis which although it has a few extra holes is in pretty good shape. Click on the pictures to see an enlarged view, the rough surface stands out better that way.

I just acquired a new chassis plate that has the exact the same finish and 3rd hole drilled by the steering post mounts?? Pics not working, check page two of this thread for chassis pics.

Was this ever addressed? I recently got one NIP and was wondering when they came out. I had never seen one before until I found this thread and saw Al's one.

Awesome thread, lots to absorb! thanks guys :) Ive seen alot of these variations on the few X2's that I have. I spotted some new ones today (new to me) but have no pics yet for them... A 4 hole flat rear pivot support, and grey shock cartridges compared to black. I used that pivot support for a mid motor experiment, came out great btw :)

Could those exist because molding reasons? All drive shaft parts comes from one mold and super slider's can be sold easily, but Losi have to put these somewhere too. I have seen these connected to Losi's dog bone drive shafts, but on outer side of course.

Were front arm variations already covered here, I didn't see them?

where did you find those? I've never seen them before.
wondering if you stumbled upon an old factory drivers stash and got some non-production parts as I have never seen the white outdrives either. There were some light colored outdrives, but they were yellowish, not the pure white of the super sliders.

I have seen the molding prototypes of the H arm and those were not them-

could the outdrives be SRS? they made a lot of white aftermarket parts.
