Help ID Losi Buggies
A friend gave me a couple old Losi buggies a while back and they have been sitting around in the garage in a box of junk. I don't know which cars they are or if they are worth bringing back to life. The one buggy, someone put truck arms on the front, which looks ridiculous, they are both pretty much all there, but the car with the yellow wheels has a broken chassis. ( I think that one is a XX ? )
Any help is greatly appreciated!

The top is a XXX Spec model. The bottom is an XX.

I was right on the XX then. I had been looking don't like looks it's gonna be easy to find a chassis, don't know if it's even worth it. As far as the XXX, can't even find front buggy arms for it to put it back the way it's supposed to be.

if you have no real connection with them, offer them as rollers for a fair price and turn that into profit for models you really like. There is value in each buggy, but if they aren't worth the hassle to you, forward them to losi collectors.

Re: Help ID Losi Buggies
Well, that's good to know. I'm not sure what I'm going to do with them yet, have had them for about a year now. I'm not really into collecting Losi, I've owned a few over the years though. First thing I wanted to do is find out exactly what I had and go from there.
Re: Help ID Losi Buggies
You should be able to find parts fairly easy. Items such as a chassis, front bulkhead, diff parts, motor plate, and trans case will cost a lot if new. It just depends on what you are willing to pay. Putting any money in them won't make you any money in the end, unless you get the parts for free.
XX prices seem to be low. About $70-$80 shipped in the condition you have, if nothing was broken. I have an XX that I bought in nice shape for $60, but used. It has several hundred in it now, but is close to new. The money can add up fast.
XXX is too new for me, but I imagine it would be in the same price range.

Re: Help ID Losi Buggies
Thanks for the info, was thinking maybe I would fix up the XX if I could find a chassis, and maybe repair the XXX and just run it . I don't know though, I have so many other cars and trucks to work on / mess with, between my vintage AE stuff, Bolink and Tamiya stuff.

Re: Help ID Losi Buggies
Good new s on the XX buggy, the chassis and top plate are not broken, just the front bulkhead is. The issue is that some genius tried to gorilla glue it back together.
If I can get the gorilla glue off the chassis and top plate , I think I can save it.

Re: Help ID Losi Buggies
I've got what looks to be a standard XX chassis if you end up needing one. It'll be going into the BST section at some point once I get my act together.
