My WCS Runner

Post by Peakey »

So this was in the garage and I thought i better start on it

Image

I've been collecting parts for this for over a year and I'm just waiting on a couple of parts to finish it off.

New alloy motormount with belt tensioner

New TCS

Building from a stack of parts and another car takes so much longer but I think is more satisfying I think
Image

Gonna use the ballraced steering I got a while ago on this I just need to de anodise it I think to go with the mount.

Rear shock tower support added with a mod stole from Mr Wooster (great idea as always Dan)

So that's as far as I can go till the rest of my bits show up and I can't wait to get it finished and on the track.

WOW beautiful aluminum pieces. Who made them? Is it a Yokomo steering system? I really like the center bulk head!

The steering is after market not sure who made it but I'm sure someone will. The bulkhead was a yoke one and I've been saving it just for this build, it's nice to get it out and put it on somthing.

I've got a couple other special parts en route for this car too :D

I can still Almost build a 91, but a 93 is not even a dream for me. Terribly interesting being a mix of old and new. By the way, were the 93 and 95 wcs shock towers the same design?

Thanks buddy, there's just a couple of little bits left to do. I met to point out my yoke style wing that I cut from an AE high downforce wing inspired by master painter Trung

Turned out pretty well for a first attempt

So last Saturday saw the IconicRc meet at Broxtowe MCC great turnout and I managed to get some time with the WCS on track.

When the track dried out fulley it had so much grip I think I need some mini spikes on it rather than pins. But all in all its a great car to drive and I can't wait to get it back out.

That's great that you run it after such a painstaking build. It looks awesome.
