Hi, I'm not too big on Kyosho's, actually I've never owned one. But this one seams like a good deal. What car is it and should I grab it.

I'm calling a Racer Beagle on this one...a clone...look at the suspension arms, shock mounts, battery holder screws...

Well, I grabbed it. haven't had a chance to go over it yet, but so far I can tell it's missing the front drive shafts and I can't tell if the chain is still in there. Tires have seen better days and the body is trash.

How can I tell if it's a clone? I know the bumper says kyosho on it. It's out in the car right now, as soon as I get some time I'll take some good pics of it. Even if it's a clone I got it Dirt cheap so I'm not too worried.

Thanks for all the help guys,
James

The motor guard is distinctively different...slots versus holes, the suspension mounts have holes too which are distinctive.

I don't have too much doubt in my mind.

the front side aluminium is different too.

Looks like it's probably the clone :(
It has the same body on it as the one from the first link. And the same rims...
Well since it's probably the clone, is it at least worth the $10 I paid? And are all the replacement parts the same?

Certainly worth more than $10...the body being one of the more appreciated parts....not sure about parts compatibility (good chance on most parts though as the car was shut down for being too close/identical). Beagle parts are rarer than rare to find (without being collectible as the market for it is small and the supply is small).

An interesting car, look after the body and a bargain at $10 but the market is small. Part of Kyosho's history too as they shut this car down, understandably.

Beyond identification I'm not too much help...some people still have these or did have them and may be more help.

Cheers.

Thank you for the help. I ran out and snapped some Pictures real quick. Looks like it's the Racer Beagle, It says it right on the gear cover  . Only part on it that says Kyosho is the front bumper:

Well... That's what I got.
Mods, Can I still post here for build help even though it's not a Kyosho?

If you keep this thread here or start another in misc I think it will be followed (by me at least). Good luck in your cleanup/restoration...a deeper comparison between it and an optima would be a valuable contribution.

(If that bumper is original and in good condition it's worth more than $10 by itself :) )
