What is the car in the middle, the one with the 2x3 saddle pack chassis?fakiee wrote:This is from a chap on Oople. Think he still owns all of them. Astute to dynastorm evolution
I have the same shell if anyone wants to have a stab at creating a mold - its very basic in design - like an early dynastorm prototype.

Technically, they are all TRF211X. Tamiya UK ran Jamie Booth as a works driver and a team of sponsored drivers and invested a lot into developing a 2wd car based on the Astute, that over time became the 'official' TRF211X that was sent out to racers around the world. They started with the Astute that was first modified with Madcap suspension http://www.tamiyaclub.com/article.asp?id=94 The bottom ones in the picture are the early Astute based TRF211X. The saddle pack one in the middle shows that they were trying everything they could, and the top ones are the later second version with Super Astute suspension parts. They all predate the Dynastorm.EvolutionRevolution wrote:What is the car in the middle, the one with the 2x3 saddle pack chassis?

Re: Prototype TRF 211X from a factory driver from PH
Just asking if anyone has parts or possibly a manual for a Tamiya TRF211x ?
Due to the difficulty in finding such a rare chassis I thought it may be easier to build a replica from a Tamiya DynaStorn.
I have started a model in Solidworks drawing from common parts between the two models it is now the main Chassis, Upper deck and Motor/gearbox brace for which I am finding hard to model accurately.
I need parts or manual to draw from...
Can anyone help ?
Thanks
Scott.
PS I did contact Tamiya Japan and they have no parts or Manuals.
