Bringing back memories with a Grasshopper II
I got this Grasshopper II at a yard sale for $2. Slapped a spektrum receiver and a fresh Nimh pack in it and I was off and running. These old plastic tamiya cars bring back memories of Grasshoppers, Hornets, Sears Lobos, and Tyco turbo Hoppers. Sure, it gets high centered on the garden hose. Slamming it in reverse while driving flips it into a 180 while shredding the knobs off the tires The stock 540 motor is a bunch of power for a lightweight plastic car with no dampening in the suspension. I couldn't help but think that this car was faster than my hornet and I would have been the fastest kid on the block with this thing back in the day. Best $2 I've spent in a long time
