Tamiya Dyna Storm Rebuild

Post by just »

After Restoring the Avante, Top Force Evolution and Top Force (Threads will follow) i felt the need for a 2WD Tamiya. I sourced this at the bay in pretty good condition. The car wasnt titled as Dynastorm so it came at a good price. Let the fun begin:

The Chassis was sanded and polished, because of scratches and glue remains. The Screws/Metal Parts took a bath in the ultrasonic cleaner.

Now i have to wait for the Repro Body to arrive. Very pleased with it so far...

Looking very good! RC10 Protech and Dynastorm are the two most beautiful 2wd's ever done imho :)

who are you sourcing the body from, TBG?
AE RC10 - Made In The Eighties, Loved By The Ladies.
Blue Was Better - now, Blue Is Bankrupt.
Facebook affiliate program manager: "They go out and find the morons for me".
Life is short. Waste it wisely.

Yep TBG *thumbs up*

Never had a bad experience with tbg bodies. Decals are allready here from MCI so in the end the car is half tamiya / half kanada repro

This build is now finished (for now). Im not 100% satisfied because the body is a little to small in my optinion and the decals are are a little to big, especially on the rear wing. Also i think i used the wrong Tamiya paint (ps-23) for the grey/black area. Does anybody know which one would have been correct?
Front tires are 3 Rip Hop Up Parts, the 2 Rip are $$$.

... up to the next one :)
