Not much to say about them really. It was their version of the Rough Rider albeit more primitive. Theres a few on Tamiya Club you can see if you do a search for LaTrax. :)
For what its worth I just found out LaTrax's buggy is called the Hustler and its model LTX-50.
Seemed like nobody knew what it was called.

The box says Brinkmann which means its from the early 80's. Thats when the company was sold to them.

It shows the influence that company had over the industry at the time. I think that Hustler buggy even had a Funco decal or two on it.

If it is a clone its one of a Optima Mid Custom or a Optima Mid Custom Special. I'm not sure what the difference is.

As far as I know, no company cloned the Mid. That is an Option House chassis that was available separately, hard anodized for saddle packs. They come up now and again on Ebay.

Those rims are from a Traxxas Rustler.

I bought a set for my project a few months ago:

Late Edinger, RC10B2, Dual Sport, GT, Kyosho Turbo Ultima, Triumph, Tamiya Sand Scorcher, Blackfoot/Monster Beetle, '67 Beetle, Nikko Rhino, Traxxas Fiero, Slash, Hand-built Dune Buggy..all on here somewhere...

Rustler are 2WD though, and all 4 are hexed, maybe 2 sets rears to do a 4WD conversion?
But they sure look like the rims.

For Professo, your car is a Bun Bun Racer from AYK:
