That's unusual but a sweet ride tomolupus. Have you run it on ice yourself?

Yes radiotray is Super-J, maybe CK790. Overall a hybrid of rare 1/8 cars.

No I haven't, I got it in a lot and its now missing a few parts I needed for another car.
Ice racing with rc car was popular in Sweden in the 80s and Carlsson made conversion kits for your Carlsson car.
This is such a conversion, not mine though.

The parts other than the Titan ones, are probably only good enough to use as templates, if that.
Or run as is:ish :)

I was recently given a car by one of my customers. It was literally sitting outside in his front yard after he attempted to clean his garage out a few months earlier. I asked him about it and he just gave it to me. From the research I've done, it is probably a '86 Serpent Quattro 4wd (Mk. IV?) I don't know what engine is in it and don't really know anything about the car as I'm an electric offroad racer, but did a little bit of onroad 1/10th scale electric pan car and sedan in the early to mid 90's at Revelation before they had any offroad stuff. This is a pretty hard car to find info on and doesn't seem to be much for sale online. The guy's first name who gave it to me is Miller and he said he got it from a guy named Steve who supposedly was a REALLY good driver and possibly a Serpent Team driver, but that much I don't really know for sure, just trying to remember exactly what he told me. This car was run mostly at Revelation Raceway before it was put away many years ago. Any idea what this car is worth? The only two that I saw for sale on Fleabay was one for 400+ pounds (UK) and another one for $1,200+ (USD). It's definitely in pretty rough condition, but looks like with a little love and a little help from a sonic cleaner, it could pretty easily be brought back to shelf queen status. Here's some pix. Any details that anyone could provide would be appreciated like is it rare? Is it a sought after car? I know it's one of the cars that kind of ushered in the modern Nitro 1/8th scale era. Also, any idea of what it's worth in this condition with vintage "patina" and/or fully restored would also be appreciated. Before anyone asks, no it's not for sale lol I think it'd look pretty cool on my shelf next to my RC10 Gold Pan, RC10LS 1/10 pan car and my Yokomo YR4M2 Pro prototype car. Thanks for any help and insight anyone can give!

Yes this is a Serpent Quattro 4WD but not sure which version exactly. Maybe it is also a mix of different versions.
I personally had an early Quattro around 1983 what was 2WD, with chain drive for the rear axle and fiberglass radio tray. Shocks with golden cap what had been fitted afterwards, in the beginning the Quattro had no shocks at all. Small diameter wheels without quick change. I really liked the Quattro back in the days, but mine is gone long ago.

This Quattro uses gear drive for the rear axle and red caps for the shocks, aluminium radio tray is newer version also as the large diameter quick change wheels. Motor is OPS. No clue on worth of this car but I personally would rate a RC500 higher, let alone a Delta. But as you said this car could turn into a shelf queen again with some TLC.

Thanks guys. Well, there seems to be one on Ebay that looks a little newer and with aftermarket and/or a hodgepodge of different parts from other manufacturers. It's in much better condition than mine and complete, but at $1,200 buy it now price, it makes me think mine is actually worth holding on to and restoring ;) I am curious what people think it may be worth if I put it on the market, not because I want to sell it, but just because I'm curious what it would be worth as is. Regardless, considering I literally got it for free, I'm pretty stoked!

Here's the one on ebay. I'm in no way affiliated with it, just thought you guys would like to see it. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Vintage-Serpent-Quattro-1-8-on-road-car-4WD-DELTA-PB-SG-FANTOM-ASSOCIATED-/140852393266?pt=Radio_Control_Vehicles&hash=item20cb74f532

I'm pretty sure that one has been on ebay for over a year at least...price is unrealistic. But one never knows. I say restore and shelve it.

Another one of my RC500 cars. This one I bought as a kit from Tower Hobbies back in the 80's. Ran mostly in parking lots - did not race at formal tracks. I built my starting box from a kit as well.
