Question on servo horns for 1970s servos 1/8 scale.

Most vintage servos as Futaba or Kraft used a 4 mm or 4.5 mm square drive for the servo arm.
Now I found an other vintage servo arm which comes with a smaller square drive, something around 3.6 mm.
Someone have an idea which servo used such size?

You check Citizenship, MRC, and Heathkit? Wish I has some gear laying around to measure for you. Back when I was looking to purchase some stuff I never had luck finding the stuff.

No, I just have Futaba, Kraft, KO, Novak and some other servos but not those you mentioned.
I have an idea which servo used such shaft but I think it is not the original servo but redesigned.

I know zilch about vintage onroad cars, but I've been told this is a pretty rare Delta Dash 2.

Late RC1 yes. Early RC1 and RC2 was seperate engine mount and rear axle mount.
What exactly characterizes the early RC1, late RC1, and RC2?

Thanks!

Are you still searching flywheel clutch parts for the Associated car? Think RC1?

Very early RC1 cars came with steel flywheel and black spur gear but I´m not sure if this was for pre-production cars only or also for early production cars.
Then there were different types of wheels. I heard rumours there were aluminium wheels in the beginning but again I´m not sure if this was for prototype cars only and if these wheels were made by Associated or different manufacturer. Yet have to see a photo for such aluminium wheels.

I personally found two types of spur gears and plastic wheels, the "white" ones and another type which was something in the light brown direction. This might have been earlier than the white one.
Another difference would be the front end where there was a running change in the shape of the steel beams. Changes also to the steering block assembly and the chassis through the lifetime of the RC1.

I think the most visible difference for production cars are the separate engine mount and rear axle brackets. These came with the earlier RC1 kits. At some point the rear end was redesigned because those separate parts were hard to align and there was a one-piece assembly then which was stamped of a steel sheet, as the early separate parts. This new one-piece part came within one year after release of the RC1.

At the same time when the upgraded RC1 kit was introduced, the RC2 was released. Basically the RC2 is the same as the early RC1 production version.

It’s something the car needs still but I haven’t been very motivated to build any RC stuff for a while. I’ve been contemplating letting some of these cars go, starting with the 1/8 scale stuff.

I have a vintage Dynamic Matra I would like to restore. Its in great condition but just dirty and needs cleaned up. It looks like it was probably never ran or very little. I was wondering if anybody makes a reproduction body for these or if originals are available for a decent price. Thanks for any help.

Unfortunately you’re at the mercy of supply and demand with that car. No reproductions that I’ve ever seen. And when you find an original the seller either knows what they have and ask a fortune or your looking to out spend either other collectors or someone looking to flip it for a fortune.

But all that said. Hopefully you can find that BIN that works for you. That’s usually how I end up finding this 1/8th stuff

I figured that might be the case. I will just keep an eye out and maybe I will get lucky. It is the Dynamic Suspension car.
