T Tech Predator X10
Hi Guys,
One of my buddies mentioned that he had this X10 that he never used. Would you guys be willing to share a market value for this car? Not taking bids but just trying to get a feel for what something like this might get.
It has the original box, manual etc and a custom painted body by Andy's R/C way back in the day.
Appreciate the help,
Rich

Nice they’re a work of art those cars. I’d say it’s worth 650-750 even more for someone who HAS to have it!!

I'd say that's a fair estimate. A used X10 recently sold on eBay for $554.40.aip47-2008 wrote: ↑Thu Mar 08, 2018 6:11 pm Nice they’re a work of art those cars. I’d say it’s worth 650-750 even more for someone who HAS to have it!!

Re: T Tech Predator X10
I think Your chassis is older than x10, unless You customized the x10 chassis to run stickpack. The front cantilevers would´ve been aluminum originally, Yours looks like carbon upgrades from the previous versions which had cantilevers in plastic.tamiyadan wrote: ↑Thu Mar 08, 2018 9:54 pm they look pretty, run pretty bad.
the suspension arms break easily.
setup of the running gear is very tight, there is no good cooling path for air. the steering system is laughable compared to how other parts were designed on it. the lay-down cantilever shocks are impossible to get right, either too soft or too hard always.
mine, it is a runner, over the years I've had to fabricate parts for it since the company is long gone. mine started as a X10 and was upgraded to a X11 and a half sort of.

Re: T Tech Predator X10
How´s the steering servo mounted? Since the rod is going in on the left side, I asume it´s there it´s mounted. There can´t be much room for it, with the saddle pack up front and the motor at the rear?tamiyadan wrote: ↑Fri Mar 09, 2018 9:26 am i didn't post a photo of the chassis however it is a saddle pack chassis. the original cantilevers broke i fabricated the replacements from carbon.
lots of stuff on the chassis broke or fell off during a run never to be seen again. so i made my own replacement parts over the last 10+ years.
the front nose was heavily damaged when i got the chassis and it has been Heat welded back together so i could remount the front wing.
the previous owner had the same issues and thus it is a mix of parts to keep it running. it was original a X10 and then some X11 parts were swapped in and then from there, home made stuff.
from a historic stand point it is cool as a runner it is garbage.
i have a box full of parts both new and broken that came with the chassis, all various years. basically if you could grab it off the shelf you bought it in the hope you could use it.

Re: T Tech Predator X10
Went ahead and tossed this up on ebay for my buddy. Did it with a BIN for those that have to have it...or offers are welcome. Will be interesting to see what it goes for.
Thanks again for the help,
Rich

BTW Forgot to mention, while i was going through the paper work, I found a "for sale" sign. Apparently at some point, he tried to sell if for $150 at the track, then knocked it down to $100 and nobody bought it LOL...This was quite a few years ago..unreal lol.
