looking for a 3d render of the nose plate

Post by discgolfer72 »

im working on building a 100% 3d printed rc10 buggy (I know it will not be strong or stable )
and have 90% of all the parts I need to print

the main thing im missing is the nose plate

I have one for the rc10t but really want to stick with the original bulkhead and not convert to a t style one

my Google skills are failing me and I suck in fusion 360

so does anyone know of a link to a .stl or .obj for the nose plate or if not anyone want to try a go at modeling one

here is a pic of what I have printed so far

well found a neat little setup where someone had scaled down a rc10 to 16th and so I took the nose plate from it and scaled it up it works but the kick up is not as much as original and the front is to short to install nose brace tubes
im going to try and modify it so I can at least install the tubes here is what I have so far

almost all the parts are already on thingiverse
the only thing I didn't find was a buggy noseplate (the truck one is )

Hows the filament material hold up ? Will it be strong enough for the chassis ?

should hold up fine
I printed some tie rods and a bumper for my 3yr olds rustler I just got him and only one broke after a long bash session (and was a pert that didn't print right due to lifting off the bed)

I did modify the chassis I found to be a tub style instead of just a flay piece
but so far my cr10 is being a pain and im fighting heat creep so have uet to fully print the chassis
I ordered a new hot end and a better fan (my cr10 is a knock off made by ctc and the parts have no quality control at all ) so hopefully it will get me back printing on it

the one in my pics in the first post was printed in 2 parts on one of my smaller printers (anet a8) and really its pretty sturdy , but it is very flexible (why I added sides to it )
