this one is definately a shelfer. i've been working on this one for over a year off and on. it was just gonna a team car, then it kept evolving to a knock off worlds car. i'm still hoping to find a correct set of prolines. the same one that came in the worlds kit. i'm also hoping that someone will eventually start popping out some repro mirage bodies. that what will go on it then. if not, it'll get a viper.
i got it there last year. long before tower was out of stock. i actually can't believe they even had it. they don't have much old stuff at all, since they haven't been open that long.
FlyinGN wrote:very nice.... Its amazing how different ways your can make up an rc10..
that is most probably the best reason why we love it, it's a bit like a doll whose clothes can be changed at will, I'm gonna start a Barbie's RC10 project

i cleaned the car and added radio gear ; itll run fine for a few feet then it starts to slip .. the pinion is spinning the spur, but the car is not moving.

Is it making a low groaning sound of a higher whining sound? The low groan indicates the diff is loose, and the high whine indicates the slipper is loose.
When the car is on the ground and spur gear is spinning, is the nut on the end of the shaft...
I've had a RC10 since '87 (bought it used). I'm pretty sure my first was a 'Edinger' car. I am planning on reassembling that collection of parts n the future.
For now, this is some of the parts that...

Painted the neon rims -- I like it. Runs great-- had to put the wheelie bar back on for running a 3 cell. My buddies 3s Slash clocks itself at 53MPH, and this thing pulls on it, easily. :)
Ok so I have bought 2 stealth buggies and 4 rc10t's. What is the ratio on the trannies? I am looking to make 1 runner out of each and 1 shelf queen out of each.
The trucks trannies need to be rebuilt and I've heard that the ratio inside needs to...
Guys, was wondering if swapping to a RPM Gearbox from a standard stealth tranny would help as far as running a brushless setup in an Old RC10 Graphite. I am just looking to add a bit more reliability - not that the stealth is weak. This is a buggy...

I am just going to Machine the stock ones a bit, and maybe open the drive slot so I can add blades to the MIP CVDs.
Oh well I should not be so worried - its not mine, but I am building it like mine, lol.
So I’ve just about wrapped up the design phase of this project with just one or two small details yet to sort out. Here's where the design stands at the moment...

Thanks for the compliments guys. I’m not sure I would call it “awesome”; I’m hoping to save the awesome stuff for the replica. But thanks again for the kind words. :D
No CNC here, just a drill press, coping saws, files, etc. -- just common hand...
Check out this pic of a '91 stealth I found on the grandson site. I posted it elsewhere in a chat with qctires, but decided to give it it's own topic in case anybody didn't see it cuz it's just too cool to miss. Its got RC10t rear arms and unswept...
I just recently purchased two RC 10's and I have been doing some research on this great web site.
Anyways the 1st RC 10 is a Championship Edition, I believe that it is a mid or late generation model.
Here are some specifics:
* B stamped chassis.

Good-looking CE. I should have bought some of these JC turnbuckles while they were still available :(
