finally got myself a gold can, an Epic 14x2 turn thanks to Rod, who also gave me a donor shell until I get a Viper body for it. He trimmed it for another buggy, which is why there is a narrow nose and just a tab in the back for the post to go through. I was talking to Rod about the body and since the Viper body originally came on the graphite car, I figured I would use one on this build...and it is still available at the stores :D . I just cant bring myself to get Eau Rouge to paint a nice JPS scheme on a Turbo Mirage body with a runner. I don't need to go running onto the track crying when it rolls over.

I still need to trim the wing tubes and get home to install my Atlas gold body posts, and apply some chassis protector but that will come

Just read the entire thread, nice build. I really like it, looks super clean with the carbon fiber, black, and gold.

Thanks seth556, I appreciate the comment :D

It really does deserve a custom paint job. We'll see once I get the new shell. I wouldn't mind getting a RPM gear cover for it too, but they are pretty rare.

Just got done making a custom oil field decal sheet for this temporary shell. It has the companies I work with in the field and includes my own company, Bond Exploration and my pimp Progeo, who gets me contracts with various oil companies. I been with Shell now for the last 3 years. I had to throw Atlas in there too, since I don't think he has any decals made. Maybe he should make some and send them out with his parts, it would be great advertising. This will become my prototype shell for builds that will await decent paint jobs. I just need to know how to get the decals printed. The only place I know that prints custom decal sheets is in the UK.

Cool stuff Anthony! I think you could cram more stickers on that sheet to make it worth your while!

BTW, the original graphite used a Protech II body, the Team Graphite used a Viper!

thanks Rod! Yeah, I probably should cram more on there.

this build resembles more of the team graphite car anyway, with it's stealth transmission, I think the original had the 6 gear. Sounds like a match to me.

I just wanted to say thanks too for all of your help on this build, many thanks! Just curious, was the Viper body ordered last week?

I used 4 shims on the outside of the carrier along with the B4 spacer. I think I should us a rubber o-ring to limit the shock compression to prevent binding though.

hi Associated,

The standard front arms will work, BUT you will need B4 steering blocks, B4 front axles, B4 rear hubs, rear B44 CVAs, the bearings that fit the rear hubs are 3/16x3/8 and the bearing spacer ASC7377.

I have used Team car rear RPM arms, which I am not sure if they are the same length as the arms you are using. What model RC10 do you have? If you don't know, does it have a 6gear transmission or a stealth transmission?

Cheers,

Anthony

if you use GT wide front axles, the B4 wheels drop right on (using all the stock front pieces).

also got the chassis protector on too, nearly ready to go, but with all the rain and crappy weather we are having on the east coast of canada I may have to wait til spring. That will give me time to get a body together anyway.
