A & L Scorcher - More Pics Added
Posting the first of my collection: An A & L based SCollins Scorcher sand rail!!! The nose plate was shortened, not the chassis plate, so don't freak out. The bumper has been replaced with a realistic basher bumper I made out of brass. Body is mounted with working tail lights.. A quick trip to the chromer and it will be finished. Front tires will be replaced with a sand blade from Pro-Line.

Re: A & L Scorcher
Holy mackerel, I guess you're expecting a lot of torque from your motor, huh? Glad to see the spirit of customisation is still alive.
Nice looking set-up by the way and welcome to the board.

Fantastic paint and chassis work! There was an ebay auction last week where someone had the same idea but couldn't pull it off. They actually intended to use a scorcher front end. I like the execution on your version more.

Some body-on and detail pics (w/o battery so the car is up a bit). The Wheelbase is 9 3/4". Bumper and wheelie bar will be chromed.

- Front body mount detail. It is the RPM mount for the RC10T mounted to the shock tower with the tabs under slung. Pop the mounts on and you're done. Might want to double up on the shock tower...

13 Double motor and a Tempest Max ESC with working taillights on the body. It's actually a prop for an independent film I'm working on. Other props will be a pair of custom Tamiya HumVees and a Fast Attack Vehicle.gmc572 wrote:really nice !!! lovin the front bumper, what are you using for motor and esc?

Bump, I didn’t realize that Bob had pics of the build here. The movie is out now, and the car looks terrific in it!
